We have received the red trash can but have not received a new recycling cart and have not had our old green cart picked up.

The Shoulder is missing when going from Northside Drive toward the four way stop on Wesleyan Drive and Bowman Road. I know it's before Forrest Hill meets Wesleyan Drive on the right but I am not sure of the exact address. It's in front of houses and mailboxes. It's a terrible place and is as big or bigger than a tire. If a tire gets in the drop off it will pull the car off the road into the ditch or mailboxes.

Someone hit the stop/road sign you need coming out of the New Mall toward Wesleyan. Most people probably know to stop there but at night it could be bad for someone who doesn't know the area. The sign was not all the way down but was leaning badly. Must have happened in the last two days. Was not this way Tuesday morning.

There is still a yield sign when turning right onto Wesleyan Drive to go behind the Mall from Academy for Classical Education side. The left side road is closed so there would be no one to yield too? Just bizarre signage anyway as the right hand turn should have the right of way to turn right there? I've noticed lots of these places in Macon now where the person who has the right of way now encounters a yield sign like getting on the interstate at Bass road? Very hard to teach a 16 year old they are supposed to have the right of way except at these intersections where a yield sign has suddenly gone up? Also, the person coming from the opposite direction has no idea the person with the right of way has a yield sign so both people end up waiting and waving each other on. It's weird!

I was told many months ago that this road was to be closed on the West side. It has not been.

Wesleyan Drive, on the west side of Riverside Drive, will be closed to through traffic. The east side of Wesleyan Drive to Arkwright Road will remain open until the larger roundabout is built by GDOT.
This is exactly what was written on my complaint and the issue was archived.
This is EXTREMELY dangerous in the morning when taking my child to Academy for Classical Education. This morning alone I saw two near misses where oncoming traffic from the roundabout had to slam on brakes because a car pulled across traffic from Wesleyan Drive to go toward the roundabout. PLEASE close the road!

There needs to be a sign at the gas station somewhere that lets people know they need to go around toward Taco Bell and CVS to the light if they want to turn left on Bass Road to go back to the interstate. People from Macon should already know to do this but people passing through using the gas station on Bass Road would have no idea that the drive to the right goes to a light with a left turn signal. I think there should be a sign that says no left turn onto Bass and a sign underneath that points them to the access Road beside Taco Bell and CVS. The fact that this has not already happened or a median put in is unbelievable! The road already needs to be widened, now has the addition of traffic to and from Academy for Classical Education and is building a shopping center down near Starcadia but you are going to keep allowing people to turn left on to Bass Road across traffic that close to an Interstate off and on ramp? CRAZYTOWN!

Metal poles have been put up and the sign there should read keep moving. Instead the sign says Yield? You don't have to yield there if the poles are up? It should be one way or the other. Very confusing. People are nearly rear-ended every day because most of us know you don't have to yield because the lane from Forsyth is separated by the poles. There are people who are not familiar and they stop or yield and are nearly rear-ended or don't seem to know what to do? It's confusing and hard to tell if that lane is on the other side of the poles or not. If you had a sign that says keep moving they would know it's ok.

There are at least three houses on the right side of this street that are a disaster. One of them burned last year and was very close to my work building. These abandoned/burned homes are very close to Miller Middle School and Central High School and children/youth walk home through these yards and around these homes. In the winter we see "people" around these homes and yards. They are probably being used as living quarters for vagrants in cold months. They are very dangerous properties in general but especially because they are so close to two schools. Ridiculous to have these dangerous eye sores still standing.

In the morning on my way up Riverside Drive now that a 4-way stop has been added at Bass Road and Riverside this road needs to be closed! People are using the road to cut through, take a left and go up to the 4-way stop and then take another left to go back to the 4-way stop at Bass and New Forsyth Road. It is extremely dangerous. People on Riverside who are backed up are trying to let these people in to school traffic but are not directing them as to whether cars are coming or not. I have seen numerous occasions where accidents were barely avoided. Two days ago a car had to go off the road into the grass. The 4-way stop on Riverside has actually backed traffic up and made it a much more dangerous area than it was before. Not sure why that was a good idea in the first place? This is the road that runs behind the Marathon gas station.
  • 5300-5378 Zebulon Road Macon, Georgia - Macon-Bibb County
After most folks in my neighborhood have reported near head-on collisions through our neighborhood Facebook page and after a terrible accident within the last week I finally decided enough is enough. When I get in the turn lane coming from Bass Road intersection going toward Forsyth Road on Zebulon Road to turn into my neighborhood of Castlegate there is almost always someone already riding down the turn lane coming head on to me wanting to turn in to Carlyle Place. These people are getting in the turn lane much too early (probably elderly visiting friends or relatives) and riding down the lane giving those of us in Castlegate absolutely no room or chance to get over in the turn lane safely to turn in to our neighborhood. We have to jump back in the lane we just came out of causing cars that thought we were getting in the turn lane to slam on breaks, screech or get over (hopefully) in the other lane as to avoid a head on collision. Please draw some simple lines and dotted lines and turn arrows to encourage people to stop getting in that turn lane so early and riding down it for much too long!
