Traffic/Pedestrian Signal Complaint Archived1876 Massachusetts Avenue Cambridge, Massachusetts - Agassiz-HarvardWalk light-related problem. On the corner by the bagel shop there is a countdown timer showing the number of seconds remaining for pedestrians to safely cross Mass. Ave. To a pedestrian in the crosswalk from the T station to that corner, the units digit is behind a lamppost, and the tens digit is barely visible. Once the count goes below 10, nothing can be seen of the numbers. As a suggestion, extending this display to its left on an offset bracket of some kind, or re-mounting it on the lamppost, would solve the problem.

Sidewalk Defect ArchivedAlewife Linear Park Cambridge, Massachusetts - North CambridgeYesterday's rain replenished the big puddle persistently present on the left-hand (south) side of the path, just inside the Cedar St. portal. Water collects here because of a sizable low area (hollow) in the brickwork. Besides being an inconvenience and hazard, puddling tends to last long enough to stagnate (mosquito breeding a possibility). Area needs to be drained, then built up level with adjacent areas.

Pothole Archived852-878 Somerville Avenue Cambridge, Massachusetts - North CambridgeReport placed here for want of a better category. Actually, the opposite of a pothole: a big bump, hidden among the stripes of the main crosswalk from the Porter T station over to CVS. Unexpected, difficult to see, and easy to trip over. I almost fell down on more than one occasion, and suspect others have too; this is a heavily traveled crosswalk.

Pavement Marking Issue Archived13-15 Richdale Avenue Cambridge, Massachusetts - Neighborhood 9I know that crosswalk repainting is carried out in stages. However, as all the other crosswalks in the neighborhood were done some time ago, I want to make sure these last two are not overlooked & can be done before winter: one as marked on map (approx. # 9 Richdale Ave.) and another at #47.

Pavement Marking Issue Archived34-60 Richdale Avenue Cambridge, Massachusetts - Neighborhood 9The crosswalks at both ends of "upper" Richdale Ave. (Walden St. & Upland Rd.) were repainted last week, the two crosswalks in between were not, and are in need of being made visible again. Perhaps they need to be put on a master list, or perhaps were simply missed..

Alewife Station Access Road Cambridge, Massachusetts - ArlingtonCrosswalk from main sidewalk over to westen portion of Alewife Brook Greenway lacks striping, and there should also be flashing amber lights to warn drivers.
