A Pedestrian

The sidewalk in front of 38 Trumbull Street has been covered in snow and ice since Tuesday's storm. All other sidewalks on this side of Trumbull Street are clean. This is a continuing problem with this property. If this problem is something that should not be addressed in this venue, would you please let me know how I should pursue a resolution? Thank you.

I see that Issue ID: 2928932 regarding illegal traffic maneuvers endangering pedestrians at this crossing has just been closed. This shouldn't have been closed; it is an on-going problem and absolutely nothing has been done to correct it. Traffic coming off the interstate ramp turning onto Orange continue to make illegal right turns on red despite the presence of pedestrians in this intersection. There needs to be some deterrent put in place - perhaps cameras with follow-up tickets sent to drivers running the red light or making illegal right hand turns on red.

It's the same old story at the northeasterly corner of Trumbull and Orange Streets. There is so much snow piled on this corner that it is impossible to access the walking signal. On the this side of the junction is City parking lot #131, which is used by many people who work in the area. As such, there is a lot of pedestrian traffic exiting from this parking lot and many people need to cross Orange and Trumbull Streets at this intersection. Today, there was a new wrinkle: the snowplows had pushed enough snow into that corner, that it now extends into the northbound lane of Orange Street at that junction, making it difficult for cars to pass through this area.

It is impossible to reach the north easterly pedestrian crossing button at the intersection of Trumbull and Orange Streets due to the mound of snow piled in front of it. There are a number of people who park in City Lot #131 at that corner who cannot safely cross that intersection because they can't reach the button to summon a walking signal.
