  • 4417 Foothill Blvd Oakland, CA 94601, USA - Fremont
a tree looks like it's been hit by a car, it's roots are exposed & it's leaning over
  • Foothill Blvd:High St Oakland, CA 94601, USA - Fremont
the traffic light that faces High St is bent so it faces the wrong way in Foothill. luckily, there are 2 others so it's not an emergency, but it's confusing to Foothill traffic heading towards 42nd Av
  • 901-991 22nd Ave Oakland, CA, 94606, USA - East Peralta
there is no indication that 22nd Av is a dead-end, when turning onto it from Livingston. as with many many other corners in Oakland, there's a missing "Not a Through Street" sign. not sure why this is such a common occurrence.
  • 42nd Ave & Bond St Oakland, CA, 94601, USA - Fremont
the trees are overgrown and are blocking the traffic signal - so the red light is virtually invisible when you're driving south on 42nd Ave from Foothill.
  • 2834-2836 E 7th St Oakland, CA, 94601, USA - South Kennedy Tract
when you're eastward on E 7th & pass 23rd Ave, there is a complete lack of street signs as you hit the new overpass in front of you @ 29th Ave, you're forced to turn right again (on an unmarked street), and then you come to another corner with no signs, and you have to turn right again (on yet another unmarked street), hoping there's an exit out of this. you eventually make it back to 23rd Ave, still wondering where you are & what streets you're on.
  • 701-899 Kennedy St Oakland, CA, 94606, USA - South Kennedy Tract
when you exit from 880 @ 23rd Ave, there is literally no way to find 23rd Ave. the off-ramp leads to Kennedy St, and there's no way of knowing you have to turn left @ E 7th St to find 23rd Ave. after traveling this road for months, I finally saw a tiny sign on the right-hand side, obscured by trees & another post, telling drivers to turn left. it's crazy how many instances of poor signage exist, when it's so easy to get lost.
  • 5481 Macarthur Blvd Oakland, CA, 94619, USA - Maxwell Park
The bike lane along MacArthur approaching 55th is laughable. There is nothing stopping cars from entering as they speed along to pass others, or to get a shortcut to the stop sign onto 55th. It is extraordinarily dangerous for bicyclists. There needs to be some kind of physical barrier to stop cars, or some painting on the roadway (like on 40th St) to remind cars to share the road. It's crazy, especially considering there are never any traffic control officers/police vehicles nearby to catch scofflaws in the act.
  • 2400-2418 E 11th St Oakland, CA, 94601, USA - North Kennedy Tract
A new street name sign (green) was hung over the intersection of 29th Ave & E 11st St, but it just reads "11 St" - it's NOT 11th St, it's EAST 11th St. Who is actually in charge of making these signs, and why is no one checking his or her work to make sure it's correct? It's truly like no one cares about getting things right.
  • 600-626 29th Ave Oakland, CA, 94601, USA - South Kennedy Tract
when going west on E7th St, you're allowed to make a left on 29th Av (the new overpass is in front of you). however, a block later, at Chapman, there is NO indication that you're facing a One-Way street coming towards you. there is no sign, and no markings on the ground. except for the fact that I saw the street narrow ahead of me, and I have a brain in my head, there's no command to TURN LEFT which is going to cause a lot of people to just go straight ahead, right into oncoming traffic.
  • Macarthur Blvd Oakland, CA, 94619, USA - Maxwell Park

There is a monster-sized pothole in the tunnel which runs under under 580, heading east on MacArthur, past High St, before 55th Ave.

It's dark in that tunnel, and impossible to see anything, and driving over that pothole made the car bounce in the air, and worried me about damage to my tires.

  • 5230 Belvedere St Oakland, CA 94601, USA - Fairfax
dead possum (?) on the middle if the road, pls remove before a car mangles it
  • 1300 Clay Street Oakland, California - Downtown
it's the meter that's just before the corner of 14th St, on the right side going north, in front of 1300. it took a quarter & didn't register anything, so then I had to use my card (which worked)
  • 6170 Claremont Ave Oakland, CA 94618, USA - Fairview Park
on the west side of the intersection, by the B of A in this pic, there are 2 traffic lights having in the same direction for 2 different streets! so it's both red & green at the same time.
  • 146 17th Street Oakland, California - Lakeside
no lights at all - the signal doesn't work, and without a traffic light on that corner facing south, pedestrians crossing the street have no idea if it's their turn to go.
  • 501 Jackson Street Oakland, California - Produce And Waterfront
the blinking "walk/don't walk" sign is slowly being covered up by vegetation - someone needs to cut down the weeds/vines so that people can see whether it's sage to cross the street.

3600 13th Avenue Oakland, California - Trestle Glen
the "don't walk" sign completely covers the street sign that tells you what intersection you're on. whoever installed it must've been blind, it is literally in front of the sign that reads "13th Ave" and completely obstructs it. did no one think to move the sign so it's readable?
  • 151-199 4th St Oakland, CA 94607, USA - Produce And Waterfront
    ikea mattress
  • 151-199 4th St Oakland, CA 94607, USA - Produce And Waterfront
near a tree not far from there corner of Jackson, a dumped piece of furniture. also, in the background of the pic, a mattress dumped near the dumpster!
  • 4631-4647 Foothill Boulevard Oakland, California - Fremont
huge depression - it was obviously filled in before, but the asphalt is collapsing, it looks like a sinkhole-in-the-making
  • 401 Jackson Street Oakland, California - Produce And Waterfront
these were obviously already patched, but the patches are SINKING and they're pretty nasty.
