  • 109 Alcott Dr Windsor, CT, 06095, USA - Windsor
Over the last week, the owner of 109 Alcott Drive has had major outside work done to remove all of the over grown bushes and trees from the property. During this work, portions of the wooden fence have been taken down. With the fence missing, the existing in-ground pool is no longer fully protected. There are numerous young children living in close proximity to this yard. Hence, a potential life threatening condition now exists. Please expedite an inspection of this condition (if possible).

Here it is, more than a week since the last snow storm and the sidewalk on the south side of Poquonock Avenue, in front of the property owned by Salem Real Estate LLC, is STILL NOT SHOVELED in compliance with the Town's adopted regulation. The fact that the sidewalk is not shoveled shows defiance towards not only the regulation but also the safety of pedestrians that intend on traversing this length of sidewalk. This situation, in fairness to all residents who have already shoveled their respective sidewalks, needs to be handled with a written violation and fine at a minimum. With the weather projected to turn colder, what is left will be sheer ice.

In an attempt to advertise, the Jumbo Buffet restaurant (409 Cottage Grove Road in Bloomfield) simply went through our neighborhood dropping advertising fold outs at all mail boxes. Unless these items are picked up quickly, any significant wind will blow them around randomly. Please contact the restaurant and make this concern noted.

Long Hill Drive At Dudley Town Road Windsor, Connecticut - Windsor
The sidewalk on the east side of Long Hill Road terminates at Dudley Town Road. This particular intersection is dark at night. Also, there are no street markings or signs that indicate a cross walk is at this location. Dudley Town Road is a fairly busy roadway and sees speeds that exceed the posted speed limit. Would it be possible to have reflective cross walk signs installed as well as the road pavement marked to indicate the cross walk? Thank you.

The first tree (closest to the street) in a line of trees on the eastern boundary of the property has branches that are growing horizontally into the adjacent power lines. Also, the tree has an apparent dead limb that would probably damage power lines if it were to break away from the main trunk. The tree is located approximately 8 to 10 feet in from the street's curb line. Should the utility company be notified and asked to inspect this potential hazard? Thank you.
  • 200 Dudley Town Road Windsor, Connecticut - Windsor
On the Brewster Road side of 200 Dudley Town Road, there has been a Budget rental truck parked on the roadway for the last five to six nights. This intersection is poorly lit at night thus making the truck a possible hazard. Also, overnight parking at this time of year is in violation of a local ordinance. Does the truck operator have special permission to park this truck here at this time? If not, then a parking ticket is in order.

There are a number of sections of fence along Sage Park Road that have fallen off of their support posts. This is very unsightly, especially along a feeder street that leads to the Town's Junior and Senior high schools.
