Good morning. I'm a volunteer Pinellas County Park Ranger. While on patrol earlier today I noticed something unusual on a large concrete structure on the west side of the intersection of the Pinellas Trail and Live Oak Street in Tarpon Springs. This area was the site of a storm water project a year or so ago. This is on my usual route and I've driven by here dozens of times. What got my attention today was some cloth fluttering on top of the concrete structure. Upon closer inspection I found that the fluttering cloth was the remains of a sandbag that had deteriorated in the sun. Under the remains of the sandbag was a steel street warning sign. When I moved the sign I discovered that the concrete structure was a stormwater vault, and the steel sign, formerly weighed down by a sandbag, was covering up the hole. This is dangerous, just waiting for someone to fall into. I swept the debris off the concrete structure, replaced the steel sign so it again covered the hole. A steel guardrail was leaned against the concrete barriers. It appeared to be brand new but never installed, so I dragged it over and put it on top of everything to deter curiosity seekers.

Hello. I'm a volunteer Pinellas County Park Ranger and I patrol the Pinellas Trail. The pothole or sinkhole is located on the north side of the Pinellas Trail, parallel to Keystone, about 100 feet west of Trail Marker "PT0712". The area in question has been subject to erosion/sinkhole concerns in the past. I clearly marked the pothole or sinkhole with orange surveyor's ape.

I'm a volunteer Pinellas County Park Ranger. While on patrol earlier today a concerned citizen approached me and informed me of what he believed to be a dead tree in imminent danger of falling onto Keystone Road. The tree in question is located on the south side of Keystone Road, west of the intersection of East Lake Road, and directly across the street from the Pinellas Trail 911 marker "PT0746". Also, there wasn't an applicable section for "poentially dangerous tree"

I'm a volunteer Pinellas County Park Ranger. While on patrol earlier today I observed a street sign that had apparently been struck by a vehicle and knocked over. The sign was located on the south side of Keystone , about 150 feet west of the "C2C 004" 911 Pinellas Trail marker. I moved the wrecked sign off the shoulder and put it next to the fence out of the way.

Someone crashed into this sign at the intersection of Jasmine and Spruce on the Pinellas Trail in Tarpon Springs, breaking one of the supports. I tagged the sign with surveyor's tape to warn passing bicyclists.

I'm an Auxiliary Park Ranger. Earlier this afternoon I observed a discarded television on the shoulder of Keystone. Because it was a hazard to both pedestrians and motorists, I marked it with orange surveyor's tape. The television is located on the NORTH side of Keystone, just WEST of the Solid Rock School.

Good morning. I'm a Pinellas County Auxiliary Park Ranger. Yesterday while patrolling the Pinellas Trail I observed that a Pinellas Trail warning sign had been knocked down, probably by a vehicle. The sign was on the ground as indicated in the photo, which is the North West corner of the intersection of Alt 19 and Georgia. The sign itself did not appear to be damaged, but had graffiti painted on it. Because the sign on the ground was a hazard to passing pedestrians and cyclists, I moved the sign to the South West corner of the intersection, and placed it as far out of the way as I could under the bus bench.

A citizen reported that the sidewalk was flooded. I investigated and discovered that water was slowly flowing onto the sidewalk from the shoulder of the sidewalk. The sidewalk is located on the WEST side of US-19 S, between US 19 and Shell Pointe Drive, approximately 200 yards NORTH of the location where US 19 passes over the Pinellas Trail. I marked the location with a surveyor's stake and red tape.

Approximately two months ago, a motorist lost control of their vehicle and crashed into a bollard at the northeast corner of the intersection of Keystone Road and Highland Ave. The bollard was mounted in concrete. The concrete is cracked and uprooted. The orange safety cones were placed at the time of the crash, but nothing has been done since then.

Earlier today while patrolling the Pinellas Trail I observed that a manhole cover had been moved. Unfortunately, I was not able to reinstall the manhole cover because I did not have the correct tool to do so. The manhole cover is on the Pinellas Trail, on the west side of the US 19 overpass. I flagged the manhole with a surveyor's stake and orange surveyor's tape to keep cyclists from running over it.

I'm a Pinellas County Auxiliary Park Ranger. I observed a tangle of low-voltage (I think) wires leading to a distribution box. The box was below ground level, but the top of the box had been opened, and there was a pair of channel-lock pliers and a multi-tool in the box. The box is in the grassy area between the southbound lanes of East Lake Road and the Pinellas Trail just a bit north of Walgreen's. I marked the box with a surveyor's stake and orange surveyor's tape.

Hello, I'm a Pinellas County Auxiliary Ranger and I patrol the East Lake branch of the Pinellas Trail. Today I was approached by a very upset disabled veteran in an electric wheelchair. He was upset because a sidewalk he travels on a regular basis was blocked by overhanging bushes and obstructed by sand and dirt. I explained to the gentleman that I worked for Parks and Conservation Resources, but I'd see what i could do. I verified that the sidewalk he referred to WAS covered in sand and blocked by bushes. I travel with a saw and loppers, so I cleared the brush so he could get by, but I didn't have a Bobcat, so there's still sand and dirt on the sidewalk. The sidewalk in question is located directly NORTH of the Pinellas Trail, on the WEST side of US 19, directly WEST of the US 19 overpass.
