    This tree was trimmed by the county years ago and never survived the trimming. it has dropped about six large branches in the past year mostly on the road stopping traffic until picked up. The dead limbs have been about twenty to thirty feet long. every windy storm more branches fall, and this is a danger to cars pedestrians and homes. There are dead limbs dangling right now from the tree. The branches that have fallen could kill someone.

    There is a long string of potholes along this stretch. They've been really bad for the last several weeks, maybe months. These potholes have a history here for many years, maybe even a decade or more. They might even show up on Ye Ole County Land record of 1614. It has been patched and then reappears, over and over again. The usual methods aren't working. Can it really be this hard to fix it once and be done? Maybe one day we'll invent the technology to fix it for good. Until then, good people of Howard County, may the odds (of your tire avoiding the Grand Canyon of potholes) be ever in your favor.

    This island which forms the bleach at the end of Pasture Gate looked this way when first reported. It was repaired, filled in with soil. grass seeds thrown, straw strewn over; 2 days later these tracks were made by service and utility vehicles and continue to be made because the problem is not being addressed. The street is too narrow for the size of these vehicles; this is especially so when cars are parked around the island.
