The wall corner at the corner of Beacon St and Centennial that's on the boundary of 53 Beacon Street is falling down. Large granite stones from the corner of the wall have fallen out and fallen into Centennial -- posing a danger to drivers' vehicle wheels who are turning right from Beacon onto Centennial. Can the city request the property owners to fix up that wall corner and prevent more stones from falling into the streets and onto the walkway? The owners managed to fix up the house enough to rent it out -- can't they address this wall that is obviously a problem to people using the streets and walkway?

There is no enforcement of No Parking along this roadway. There are at least 20-30 cars parked here daily despite large electric sign stating that cars will be ticketed and towed, as well as multiple no parking signs where people just park anyways. Makes law enforcement look foolish and further encourages entitled people to do whatever they want without fear of legal consequences. Looks bad for the the City as well, that residents cannot depend on the police to do their job.

Hi DPW Personnel! Just advising (and semi-complaining) that JRM personnel advised us this morning that their company’s owner issued a blanket policy directive to JRM employees to “NOT to pick up ANY garden-related plastic recycle-able materials, as many of the pieces set out for Recycle PickUp don’t possess the right number-assigned material stamp.” We’ve been seeing all of our number 5 recycled garden materials (trays, planter cups, etc.) returned/left behind, even though they fall within city guidelines (number 5’s being acceptable.) We had a pleasant chat with our excellent JRM crew this morning, who explained the sutuation, and then took our materials (this time.) Can someone in Gloucester City Gov’t either work this out with JRM, or give citizens the ability to return number 5-stamped gardening materials to the DPW directly? (Yes, we already return as many as possible to the various gardening centers, but not everyone takes them back.) Many thanks, Gloucester DPW!
