A new crosswalk was installed on Mystic Ave between the Bank of America and Dunkin Donuts with manual invoked flashing lights. The signal in the median strip never stops blinking so it's getting to the point of crying wolf so I am starting to pay less attention to the crossing signal. Could you please fix the crosswalk signal so it only flashes when a pedestrian is trying to cross.
    Thank you

    Hello,
A few days ago the no left turn sign for cars turning onto Fellsway West from Taft Street was knocked down. I believe the no left turn sign and post are in front of 777 Fellsway West but are most likely covered in snow now. Could you please replace the missing no left turn sign.
    Thank you

None of the crosswalks on Mystic Ave. are visible. Someone is going to get hurt if the sidewalks are not repainted and better marked with crosswalk signs.

Hello, The sidewalks in front of 3 to 29 Gaston Street need to be replaced. A majority of the Gaston Street sidewalks have been replaced but the ones in front of these six homes have not. Could you please add them to the sidewalk repair list. This is a DCR issue but it is also a risk hazard for Medford residents. There are at least five dead trees that were blown over during last week's storm that are overhanging the sidewalk and street. They are only being held up by the chain link fence. These trees should be removed before they injure a pedestrian or driver.
  • 155 Elm Street Medford, Massachusetts - Medford
When you turn onto Elm Street near the Fulton Street intersection heading towards Fellsway West there is a City Wide 25 mph speed limit sign. A little further down Elm Street there is a sign telling you your speed so you know if you are exceeding 25 mph. A little further down Elm Street right after the Wrights Pond entrance and 300 feet before the main crosswalk for Wrights Pond there is a 30 mph speed limit sign. This 30 mph speed limit sign is telling drivers they can speed up right before they get to the main Wrights Pond crosswalk. At a minimum this 30 mph sign should be removed, at most it should be replaced with a crosswalk warning sign and a 25 mph or lower speed limit sign.

    Hello,
Our yard waste from November 6th has still not been picked up. Many other houses on Gaston Street have also not been picked up.
    Thank you

There is a tree across the street from 21 Taft Street that has a very large dead branch hanging over Taft Street. The dead limb should be removed before it falls onto Taft Street and overhead wires. There are also a couple of wires from a nearby telephone pole that are on the ground in front of the tree with the dead limbs.

The tree on the corner of Taft Street and Fellsway West has a rotted out trunk and should be removed before it falls. Taft Street and Fellsway West have heavy pedestrian, bike, and auto traffic and there is also a MBTA bus stop located very close to this dead tree.

    Hello,
I just swept up this glass from in front of my house. I believe the broken glass was dropped by the Waste Management recycling truck yesterday. There is glass all over Gaston Street from Taft to Brackett. Could you please ask Waste Management to sweep the street.
    Thanks,

    Hello,
Over the last month I have had a couple of neighbors and now my son tell me about seeing wrong way drivers on Fellsway West/Rt. 28 North from Roosevelt Circle to Elm Street. I don't ever remember hearing so many occurrences in such a short amount of time. I'm guessing it might be related to the increasing number of bed and breakfasts or Airbnb homes located in North Medford, especially at 733 and 751 Fellsway West. Every night when I'm driving home from work there our several vehicles with out of state plates parked illegally in front of these two houses. Everyone that lives in North Medford knows to turn right onto Fellsway West but non-residents/out of staters do not.

Before a serious accident occurs the City of Medford and the MassDOT - Highway Division should:

    1) Install one way signs at these Fellsway West intersections:

Elm Street, Taft Street, Foss Street, Gordon Road, and Fulton Spring Road

    2) Install wrong way signs along Fellsway West/Rt. 28 North from Elm Street to Roosevelt Circle

The bottom line for North Medford and all Medford residents, please use caution while driving on Fellsway West from Roosevelt Circle to Elm Street and keep an eye out for wrong way drivers!
    Thanks,
    -Paul
