I observed two cars get stuck between the gates on Sherman Street on Tuesday at 6:15pm one made it off leaving other stuck until the train passed and by the grace of god was back enough to be safe. Someone may want to rethink these new islands that even I thought were a great idea until I observed this. I’ve lived on Sherman Street my whole life and have never heard of any life causing issues or even accidents that should now cause issues that were nonexistent?

I think this was missed due to the snow banks so it has been relocated to the top of the snow bank. Sorry for any confusion.

Parents park in the Danehey Parking lot to drop their kids off at the Montessori School on Sherman Street. This parking lot is used for parking daily for multiple people but very unsafe right now with no way for anyone to safely cross the street. Not sure why when the sidewalks are being cleaned they don’t include the crosswalks?

I have opened multiple tickets only a few of which have been resolved yet can not find any open tickets WHY?! I did not close them or want them closed as they have not been resolved. What good is this website when you inadvertently close tickets without resolution!

Another issue why can't we sort on closed and acknowledged tickets? The only search option we have is on closed tickets? Why? Very inefficient. Websites are designed to do much more than this, this option was there and seems to have been removed? Or is it not working? Please fix this is very ineffective.

As promised during flash flood warnings please keep an eye on the curve on Sherman Street today if there is flash flooding. Close the street and have the cars go through the Danehey parking lot to spare my basement from the waves of speeding cars who don't care they are flooding my basement. Thank you and have a good day 😬

Our trash was not picked up today so I am leaving it at the curbside.

This picture was taken last night 7/13 during the flash flooding. This is the curve on Sherman Street as you can see there are no sidewalks visible and the water is just about up to the bike rack. The issue is the cars not slowing down and creating waves and flooding my basement. We are supposed to have more flash flooding today can someone please monitor this area and see that that cars slow down my driveway is still covered in debris and my basement is still wet.

Hi, I'm writing regarding a safety issue we are having with a fence that abuts our property and Walden Square Apartments on Sherman Street in Cambridge. This fence is 6' - 7' tall and sections of it have become very unstable. This is a wood fence which over the years also has contracted termites. In 2008/9 a car drove thru the fence, over the curb and into our shed which has since been taken down. Walden Square had that section of fence repaired after this accident and this is now the section that is falling down. We have recently contacted Walden Square who are now claiming they do not own this fence?? I have lived in this house all my life and know for a fact I do not own it, never put it up we never had anything to do with it but know there is now a serious safety issue with this fence. We have small children that play in this yard daily. This dance is located alone a walkway that is used daily but people in Walden Square who as an access to go in and out of Walden Square. If I recall one of the conditions of them being able to build Walden Square was them building that fence as I lived there when it was the brickyard and they got special compensation from the city to build it. Can someone from the city of Cambridge please help us sort this out? Someone needs to take responsibility for this fence as it needs to be replaced. Thank you

There is and seems to always be a very foul sewer smell outside our home that goes down at least to Jose's as we notice when we walk down there. This oder is to the point where feel I am trying explaining it to my guests. It's clearly coming from the street as it most of the way down it. Can someone please look into this odor? Thank you

There is a tree on the sidewalk in front of my house that is 1/2 dead and looks horrible. It had been this way for years only blooms on one side clearly is a sick tree. Really needs to be evaluated most likely removed and replaced. Thank you

Since replacing the old telephone poles in early 2000 the old ones still have not been removed all along Sherman Street, actually rendomly throughout the city. I recently tried to have my driveway paved but they can't do it due to inability to access the driveway due to the double poles right in the middle of the entrance. When are they going to be removed? Isn't 12 years long enough? They look terrible! I have wires almost hitting my cars. Yet Cambridge is tearing up every street in the city but hasn't finished taking down the double poles, from 12 years ago! Please at least get the one in my driveway down?

Two street lights are facing Sherman Street towards the fire station so it's very confusion at this light.
