Residents on the 890 block of Elm have been setting off fireworks , on and off, for a week at all hours. It's like nuisance death by a million firecrackers. I don't mind an hour fireworks show in the neighborhood but the "on and off" nature of the noise disturbs any semblance of peace.

Question: What is the NHPD policy with respect to Fireworks?

The Construction/Bulk Trash has been on the front lawn for 3 weeks.

Car is parking on the front lawn where no driveway exists. Absentee landlord of course. Property is managed by Diamond Property Management. According to the New Haven Parking Authority this is a police and lci issue bc the car is on the front lawn.

5 Houses where the sidewalk isn't shoveled, but in 3 of the 5 the driveway IS shoveled. Absentee landlords in ALL cases. The house at 1424-1426 is a chronic offender; it deserves it's own SCF page!! Sending email to Maggie Fernandez at LCI as well. Let's see if any action is taken

Street Vendors not in compliance with local code, destroying the tree line, and making our city look like we have have no zoning rules or code enforcement. Makes one wonder why anyone would want to open an establishment on Whalley Ave. Is this part of Mayor Harp's idea of the Clean City Initiative?

6 parking Violations on 2 Blocks in Edgewood Neighborhood

In response to Rude Officer Jaywalking - I posted a comment that read "Seems like the residents/taxpayers are working for the city employees, not the other way around", and the comment was removed. Is this the city removing these comments or is it SCF?

This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone at this point. I've commented before that at some point one of these dirt bikes or motorcycles is going to jump the curb and hit an innocent resident, or pop a wheely and and end up going through the windshield of an oncoming car. We're fortunate that the child wasn't hurt more seriously.

The dirt bikes ride with impunity. The no-chase policy is a joke. This will probably cost the city big-time. If I were the parents I would sue the city. The city knew, or should have known, that allowing dirt bikes to ride in city parks is a real risk to residents and by not chasing and not enforcing the law the city has de facto encouraged this behavior.

The other joke here is that the police are asking for the public's help; the public has been asking for the police's help for more than 5 years and for more than 5 years the police and mayor's office have given this issue nothing but lip-service. To be sure there have been a few high-profile arrests, but by and large the phone calls to the non-emergency number are not answered and the posts on SCF go unacknowledged. Very sad.

Whats with the cheapo white plastic garbage containers? Talk about trashy containers. Why can't the city get the green metal containers?

Little Ceasars on Whalley and Ella T is placing large advertisements on the tree belt. I believe that is a violation of city policy. Would appreciate it if you could have that removed.

The sidewalk vendors appear to be in violation of
the code. ..too many tables..tables too big...no trash containers and they've ruined the tree belt..this unsightly image is what 25,000 daily visitors to new haven see as they pass by Whalley and Ella T Grasso
