The intersection of rt 116 and Meadow Street is dangerously dark and weirdly angled; every time I use it I swear to never again - I'd be surprised if that is not the location of many accidents, that at least a couple of street lights couldn't prevent.

This is my official notice that if I'm ever in an accident at that intersection, that I will note this complaint, that it is lacking sufficient lighting (and highway design).

    thanks

A large percentage of Amherst roads are in dire need of repair or replacement. I drive on them daily, and am on the lookout for potholes all the time. But I also bike on them frequently, and am always concerned about the deterioration of many roads. BUT SPECIFICALLY, RED GATE LANE SHOULD BE FIXED ASAP, it is more broken than not. This is to notify you that if I am ever hurt, in my car, bike, or on foot, on Red Gate Lane, I will refer to this complaint as having officially notified you of its terrible condition.

As I walk around town, especially near my house (Strong Street, Northeast Street (between Strong and route 9) there are so many discarded "nip" size liquor bottles in the street and on lawns. I don't think these are dropped by joggers; more likely, thrown out of car windows by "students" -- can the town do a better job of cleaning these up (also beer cans) and even maybe post a sign, here and there, with a witty slogan like "drunk drivers... please don't throw your cans and nips on Amherst streets" or "Dear Drunk Drivers: get a room (and stay there)"

plow broke my mailbox, previously reported and denied, now that the snow has melted you can see it also caused movement of several large blocks- this damage was certainly caused by the plow. the mailbox is correctly placed and this spot has been plowed thousands of times before. Please just fix this without making me go through the hassle of a claim to the town, not to mention I want you to do it, instead of me, as I have a bad back, and had to fix it already when the town neglected their responsibility when the contractor that paved Strong Street simply twisted the mailbox pole 90 degrees and snapped it. This is damage caused by the plow to a correctly placed mailbox. You were premature in closing the case before.

All along southeast St and northeast at there are beer cans, liquor bottles, water bottles, cigarette packs, probably thrown out of car windows by college students. Can there be more cleanup (by fraternities, if not public works)? And also signs posted like "please recycle, don't litter" or "our streets are not your trashcan" ??? Supposedly, the saying "don't mess with Texas" started as a sign on the highway campaign to reduce this kind of pollution

The road is so patched up, it's a danger for the many bicyclists who ride there.if it's not scheduled to be repaved, could you at least fix the bike lanes?
