I am begging someone to do something about the signal at mountain and Bloomfield. NOBO truckers taking exit 37 to shorten their trip to day hill, blowing the red, stopping under the light to block me from exiting my road. it's so unsafe!! This is a 35 mph neighborhood, not Fury Rd from Mad Max. Tonight the light was stuck on red on the mountain rd side which then caused people to start running the red into unsafe conditions. It was red for over 5 minutes. I called WPD to report it but it finally turned green. Who do I follow up with at the state? Because former complaints of mine have received replies saying this complaint is with "the state". Please advise who I can follow up with. Thank you. ..

This intersection is increasingly dangerous. Something needs to be done. My 13 year old son was an inch away from being hit in the crosswalk (all lights were red and the walk signal was on). A woman in a Red Hyundai decided to go LEFT ON RED and almost hit my kid. He no longer walks to school because he can't cross safely. Today, Bloomfield ave was so congested and when I was at the light waiting to cross over bloomfield on mountain, cars remained under the light so I couldn't cross, then when I had just enough room and began to inch across (I had the green), TWO cars almost t-boned me in my effort to legally exit my road.

The truck traffic is insane. Trucks SHOULD BE using Day Hill - a road DESIGNED to mange truck traffic. I want to start a campaign to eliminate trucks on Bloomfield ave. If trucks used the right road, and stayed off of Bloomfield Ave, allowing for less congestion, maybe commuters would feel less inclined to blow through lights.

I know the Health & Safety Committee is looking into how better to manage the intersection, but please make it a priority. I and my neighbors take our lives into our hands every time we leave our road.

The intersection of mountain and Bloomfield Ave is increasingly dangerous. The traffic signal is not effective, nor efficient. Something needs to be done.

If we could eliminate the truck traffic (they should be using day hill road anyway), that would lighten traffic tremendously; lessening the desire for idiots to blow through the light.

My 13 year old son was crossing in the crosswalk a few weeks ago and was almost HIT in the crosswalk (all lights were red, and the walk signal was going- yes I was watching) yet an idiot in red Hyundai decided to go left on red and almost hit him. I yelled so loud to get his attention and thankfully he avoided death that day. I don't have any right answers but something needs to be done.

I cannot safely exit my street in the morning because of red light runners on Bloomfield ave, or because of drivers that sit in the intersection during my green. This issue has been ongoing for years. Today I watched my light turn red to green twice before I could begin to squeak through inconsiderate cars and trucks that don’t know how to approach an intersection. We need to adjust this light or staff an officer at this intersection until change is provoked. Why are semi’s even on Bloomfield ave? Shouldn’t they be taking the day hill rd exit to access the industrial areas? It’s not safe as a driver, never mind for pedestrians.

After every snow or ice storm so far this year, this area has not been plowed. I spoke with the property manager at this building and they say it's town property, however the last See Click Fix ticket I put in was closed with no action taken. I understand after the ticket I put in, the snow melted, but then came another storm - with ice. After the ice, no effort was made to clear the sidewalk either. I witnessed a gentleman in a wheelchair encounter this part of sidewalk. He realized he couldn't negotiate the ice, so had to relocate to the street in his wheelchair! I stayed with him because I was worried about him being hit by a car. People use this sidewalk! It's essential for it to be clear. I've attached a picture of the sidewalk in question. This was taken after the last ice storm when it was already melting. This was a few hours after the man in the wheel chair realized he couldn't get through the ice.

Can the people responsible for this strip of sidewalk please plow it? No effort has been made in clearing the sidewalk from the on ramp to just before the Mobile Station. Last snow storm was 5 days ago.

People continually ignoring red lights at the intersection of Mountain and Bloomfield during (but limited to) rush hour. Getting out of my street in the morning is either dangerous (because people run the light) or nerve wracking (because of slow moving traffic getting stuck under the light, blocking me from proceeding on green).
