DPW is doing a good job keeping the street and sidewalks along downtown South City nice and clean. Good job!

Since the Web administrator does not allow comments I will open a new incident commenting on a previous incident titled “Constant double parking”. SSF does not enforce no smoking in downtown SSF, nor no bicycle riding on the sidewalk in downtown SSF. The city also fails to enforce no U-turns in the middle of downtown SSF. What makes you think that they will enforce the double parking regulation in downtown SSF? They may put up a sign stating no double parking but nothing is done about it. It’s just to feel good effort.

Yesterday, someone exiting Starbucks was almost hit by a bicyclist riding down the sidewalk Can the ordinance for no bicycle riding on the sidewalk be enforced? Yes? No? Maybe? Don’t care? What happened to the police on patrol along Grand in the morning? I have brought this issue up in the past..

Sewers on the Northeast and Northwest corners of Chestnut and Commercial are filled with leaves which may cause flooding problems this winter. Probably the Southeast and Southwest corner sewers may need to be cleared.

Why is there an ordinance for No Bicycles Riding on sidewalks in the downtown area? Bicycle riders on the sidewalk ignore the signs and the ordinance is not enforced. Why does the city have it? So someone can stand up at a meeting and pat themselves on the back. If it's not going to be enforced then remove it! Most of those who ride on the sidewalk are somewhat courteous. Other riders can be dodged because you can see them approaching. Some who approach from the rear can't be seen until they brush past as they speed by.

Parking enforcement in the Downtown Area along Grand Ave will commence on 8/1/2020. Does this also mean that the Officers on bikes will return? Does this also mean that the No Smoking Ordinance will be enforced? Does this also mean that the No Bicycle Riding Ordinance will be enforced? Does this also mean that No U-Turns in the middle of Grand Ave will be enforced? Does this also mean that the No Left Turns into and out of most parking lots will be enforced? Just asking!

The empty field along Mission Road where the proposed projects are to be built needs some vegetation removal. When it drys out, it will present a huge fire danger. I guess SSF has never noticed it.

About 3 months ago, I entered a possible code violation for this address. Nothing has been done about the growth of weeds. Is this property exempt? There is no house at this location but the lot sits on the East of 810 Baden

A section of sidewalk near 211 Eucalyptus Ave is becoming a tripping hazard. It's been worked on before, but needs additional work or replacement.

MOST if not ALL signs that have the red circle with a slash through it to indicate that something is prohibited are faded and need to be replaced. By looking at them, you can’t tell what you’re not supposed to do. Some you can just barely make out if you look at it at the correct angle.

There are bushes, plants and other growth that is starting to overgrow on to the side walk at BOTH of these addresses on Baden

Flashing yellow lights at crossing in front of this address are NOT flashing when button is pushed. (as of 0900 on 10/18).

The "BEEP" tone for crossing Chestnut from West to East at Grand Avenue no longer functions.

I brought up an issue with the sidewalk a while back. It is now completely fixed and a new section of sidewalk has been lain. Good job SSF!

The nice new "No U Turn" in front of the COAMERICA BANK almost completely blocks the pedestrian Walk/Don't walk signal or whatever its called. Who did the specifications for the placement of the "No U Turn" sign? Did anyone even look at it after it was installed?
