  • Street Light Archived
240 Main Street Marlborough, Massachusetts - Marlborough
Decorative street light post has been missing since early December - the little warning cone emits NO LIGHT and does little to enhance the downtown area. Someone should determine WHY so many of these decorative poles are missing on main street! There are three in a two block area that I can see, and another at Bolton and Main.
  • Sidewalks Acknowledged
2-16 Newton Street Marlborough, Massachusetts - Marlborough
Sidewalks on East Side of Newton have cracked and split, NOT from frost heave but from Tree Roots, etc. causing trip hazards to ALL waklers/whel chairs. This was reported last year and 'temporary blacktop patching was done, but the issue persists closer to the tree's. Would appreciate a permanent fix by DPW this Sping. I, personally observed a woman who tripped her while the DPW repaired the street drains),,, ( Nice work), but she appeared un-injured.

  • 92-106 Newton Street Marlborough, Massachusetts - Marlborough
This was previously reported by myself, and DPW engineering "agreed it needs fixing" however NO WORK has been done and every low-slung vehicle entering the garage from newton street have their under-carriage/mufflers, etc. dinged by the concrete lip at the top of the entrance ramp. PLEASE have someone repair this before Winter comes.
  • Weed Street Marlborough, Massachusetts - Marlborough
HOW MUCH LONGER MUST THE AREA RESIDENTS LISTEN TO METAL PLATES CLANGING FROM TRAFFIC AT THE DPW SITE ON GRANGER BLVD? IT'S KEEPING US AWAKE AT NIGHT (FOR OVER A WEEK NOW!)

4 Liberty Street Marlborough, Massachusetts - Marlborough
The (paved) sidewalk is in terrible condition because someone patched it leaving several height differences. Hazardous to pedestrians and children on bikes, and no property tax payer should have to put up with this in front of their home! Please repair.

Blacktop Sidewalk at this end is very irregular and a hazard to pedestrians and bikes. I've seen several children swerving to avoid this sidewalk. Look's like it's been patched by someone who didn't know what they were doing - please have DPW look at this and/or resolve.
  • Tree Issue Archived
Newton St Marlborough, Massachusetts - Marlborough
What was a 'unique' tree adjacent to the Masonic Hall has apparently succumbed to the Weather. The top half is dead, as are many of it's branches. Please refer to Forestry Dept.

Newton St. (Garage Ramp) Marlborough, Massachusetts - Marlborough
Although the city did a beautiful job re-constructing the Newton St. Garage, they neglected to repair the ramp from Newton Street which continues to damage vehicles because of a 1 to 1.5 inch dip from the blacktop to a concrete ridge/lip. A simple layer of black-top would resolve the issue before someone has an accident there. ANY low-slung vehicle entering the garage on that ramp bangs the concrete (as evidenced by the numerous dings in the concrete). PLEASE REPAIR the ramp!

The drain is collapsing, with a void visible adjacent to it. Please repair.

The sidewalks are in terrible shape, with broken edges, cracks, and 'heaving' above the grade-line near the trees, prsesnting hazardous walking conditions to pedestrians.
