  • 429-463 Cambridge Park Drive Cambridge, Massachusetts - North Cambridge
Either the "no parking" sign isn't clear, too small, or drivers don't care. Cars pull over here routinely to drop off or pick up passengers - and not just for a second, people sit and wait in their vehicles. Last evening there was a car parked here with no one inside and the hazards on while a second one had the driver unloading suitcases. These cars are blocking a travel lane!

Traffic signal hanging by the wire
  • 505 Massachusetts 2 Cambridge, Massachusetts - Cambridge
Signal flashing orange to cars, saw pedestrians who were unable to cross because they (presumably) could not get the signal to work
  • 638 Huron Avenue Cambridge, Massachusetts - Cambridge
When driving west on Huron Ave, the red light on the traffic light is blocked by a tree
  • 513 Concord Avenue Cambridge, Massachusetts - Cambridge
3 days in a row now:
In the morning vehicles are running the red light well past the pedestrian sign is on, and they're gunning it at around 30-40mph
In the evening vehicles are both blocking the northbound lanes and running the light, although slowly. They think that since they're past the light, they have the right to advance even though the light is red. One instance of red-light running southbound.

Multiple issues at the entryway/exit to Fresh Pond Mall

    1. Exiting motorists consistently block the intersection (especially in the evening when the bridge backs up) making it a challenge to walk/bike across. I know we don't respect "don't block the box" rules in this state, but maybe some better striping with can improve the situation?

    2. Motorists entering the parking area from Alewife Brook Parkway very often ignore the No Turn On Red sign.

    3. Motorists entering the parking area from Alewife Brook Parkway on GREEN often don't yield to pedestrians and cyclists already in the crosswalk. This turn is wide and easy to navigate in a car, maybe make it a tighter turn with a smaller radius to slow drivers down, a raised crosswalk, or both?

  • 525-529 Huron Avenue Cambridge, Massachusetts - West Cambridge
North Huron betwen Fresh Pond Parkway and Aberdeen - recent Noreaster and snowmelt resulted in lots of downed tree branches and debris being left over on the side of the street and in the bike lane. Street cleaning won't be coming till April to do this, meanwhile this poses a danger to cyclists (and possibly motorists as well)
  • 4 Clifton Street Belmont, Massachusetts - Belmont
When heading south across 60/Pleasant st. from Clifton to Leonard the No Turn On Red sign is very often ignored. It's not very easy to see it due to it being mounted on a very tall pole and with everything else that's going on at this intersection I bet the drivers are only paying attention to the signal across the road not the one mounted above.
