I first saw this leak yesterday (Oct 11, at 7:45 am); it's now Oct. 12 at 8:45 am, so it's been going for over 24 hours now.

The intersection of Swift Blvd and School St did not used to flood this badly. It has been much worse since April 2015. Changes since that time include the repaving of Swift, and construction of a new 3 story house at 2240 Swift that has paved and entire 8,800 square foot lot, creating a much larger amount of run-off. Roberts Elementary is across the street. The water does usually go down within a few hours, but if we ever have a flash flood event during school drop-off or pick-up, it's going to be very dangerous.

Largely due to new construction at 2240 Swift, which has not left sufficient permeable surface area for drainage. Water is pouring off of its paved front surface into the neighbors' yard and the street.

The cover floated away in the storm on Friday, April 17. We are at 2228 Swift Blvd, across the street from Roberts Elementary school. Many families walk past our house to get to school each day, and pass close to the missing cover, which is a trip hazard. Thank you.
