Milano is wasting water on Border Road at Hanchey. I looks like the sprinkler heads are missing. I seems like water is always running across Border Road and they are watering every day.

Homeless Camp location. Keep Venice Beautiful was cleaning up along business 41 and discovered this. We did not clean up the mess. It needs some intervention. It is just south of the Richards Foodporium and across from the Emmanuel Church.

A sprinkler pipe is broken and sand is eroded out onto the sidewalk. It is on the crossover sidewalk near the kayak launch.

For the Sun Fiesta, bike racks in downtown are all full and overflowing. That is a good thing. For big event weekends in downtown maybe we should relocate some of the bike racks that we have at the Airport Festival grounds to provide additional bike parking.

Something needs to be done to prevent bicycle theft and malicious damage to bikes in the bike racks under the Venice Ave Bridge near the Train Depot. The picture I took today, 10/22, shows a bike with a wheel and a seat missing, another bike with a seat missing and the remains of 2 cable locks that were cut. Is possible to place a security camera and a "Under Video Surveillance" sign or maybe just the sign to send the message?

What do we need to do to get the city of Venice to approve Uber? We regularly use it when we travel and it works great. It is operating in Sarasota County, why not in the city of Venice?

The Pepper Trees are growing out onto the bike lane. In order to get past the problem area bicyclists and pedestrians must move into the traffic lane.

I am not sure exactly where on the island this happened. I am not sure the exact circumstances. I am sure that this is just another example of either distracted driving or even worse an example of malicious intent against a cyclist. This account is via Facebook from Suzanne Custer. Man, I am shaking. I almost got nailed. As I was riding home from Publix carrying an extra full load, a white truck with "Venice Rentals" written on the back, flew by me and almost knocked me over. He/she sped across Harbor into Gulf Shores. Instead of trying to chase him down, I decided to post about the company. "Very UnCool Venice Rental Company." Slow down!
One of the tail lights is out; I am too disoriented to remember which one. Hopefully the Venice Police see it and pull him over.
I ride everyday because it is my mode of transportation. Very seldom do I ride solely for recreation. Today I had to navigate the Center rd 41 bypass intersection to pick up my insulin at Walgreens. Every time, I have to yell stop to the cars to let me get across. Once people are behind the wheel they don't SEEM to care about anyone else on the road. We are all trying to get some where. Ha ha I am ranting. I guess a little too much flight fight feelings today. I will chill now. Lol!

Cyclists have experienced problems with this motorist in the Rosedale/Valencia area of South Venice.
