    Because the curb is lower than the street, any time it rains, the rain encroaches on the sidewalk and floods and washes away any dirt/plantings.

    The curbing/sidewalk really needs to redone on most of Allston Street between High Street and Wyman Streets, as this is not the only spot with serious curb/water/erosion issues due to depressed or missing curbing.
