This tree is quite large and old. There are concerns among neighbors that some or part of the tree could come down with high winds. Due to the size and location of the tree if could create substantial injury or death if the timing was unfortunate. There is concern that the roots are not large enough to support the weight of the tree. A similar sized tree fell 4 weeks ago, totaling 3 cars as well as some property damage to my home. This tree was reported to DC gov by the previous owners of the home but no conclusions about the tree were made, or made public it it was assessed.
