    Has anyone seen this car? Mazda California plates 7ESZ672. The occupants, two Caucasian males in their 20s were observed spraypainting graffiti along the railroad ROW. When I confronted them they claimed to be unaware that placing graffiti on someone's private property is illegal in Oakland. Will the OPD actually come if you observe this crime underway?

    The encampment on Castro under 880 continues to grow. The trash now covers the sidewalk and is flowing into the right-of-way creating a potential hazard for the vagrants and drivers and making it impossible for anyone else to use the sidewalk. Why hasn't PWA cleaned up this mess?

    A homeless person has erected a shelter of sorts and been camping on the sidewalk adjacent to PG&E for more than a week. He has surrounded his encampment with junk that is unsightly and probably unsafe and unsanitary as well. Time for City to intervene and remove him and his junk.

    Shopping carts parked on Second just after 1 pm on Saturday. If this was a motorized vehicle Parking Enforcement would have been quick to ticket. Note another "shopping cart train" parked on the sidewalk on the west side of Castro. Would you tolerate this in your neighborhood? If the City wants to host these carts please designate a City-owned lot where they can park--out of sight and out of the public right-of-way.
