3rd year in a row that the wreath outside the coffee shop doesn't light up. :( :( :( we want lights too!
but the rest of the street lights are on now, thank you for that!

all the street lamps and the criss-cross lights are out from 2nd to 4th on coal. it is incredibly dark, and with recent issues downtown I feel it is unsafe.

Runaway car took out the 2-hour parking sign at the northwest corner of coal and 2nd. Now we have a serious safety hazard. The last couple inches of this sign is just tall enough to take out a car door when parked, and I see people trip on this every day. Needs to be fixed ASAP.

    A. this tree didn't need trimmed. it's the smallest one downtown and it was barely planted like 6 months ago and trimmed at that time.
    B. if the trees are going to be trimmed, the debris should not be shoved AT a trash can on the street.
    C. it's artscrawl tonight. there will not be time for anyone to come fix this, I will have to do it myself or pay one of my staff to deal with it.

I don't appreciate when the fire and rescue crew MOVE a person from the sidewalk onto my furniture to perform tests that involve blood. There are ambulances for that. Ambulances that are enclosed, that keep bodily fluids contained. Ambulances that aren't my patio tables where people EAT.
It makes no sense to move someone that you haven't even looked at yet, especially considering the ambulance was called because he was lying in the middle of the road. What if he had been hit?
I guess you don't worry about that. Just keep the blood on other people's things so you don't have to clean your ambulance. Good job guys. Hopefully his blood wasn't contaminated, since I had to clean it and I don't drive an ambulance that is stocked with the equipment to do that safely.

all of the light poles downtown look like this. it's trashy and really works to undo everything the city has been trying to accomplish in the realm of downtown beautification. Beautiful trash cans, painted planters with flowers, trees, new sidewalks being built- and right in the middle are all these fliers taped to everything. maybe, contact the event hosts and ask them to stop? maybe make a public bulletin board downtown to give an outlet for these advertisements? Something needs to happen.

Trash can behind El Morro got tagged. Maybe it's a good time to replace these with a real dumpster? Three food service establishments have to use these cans and it's not enough.

There used to be a dumpster blocking this, now there's just an unprotected gas line in a tight alley with parking spaces right across from it.
