The couch cushions reported as dumped in Scout park yesterday are now floaters in Lagoon #3 adding to the other debris, algae, polluted water and toxic soil.

The water on lagoon #3 has been lowered and the stench is overwhelming. I understand the water levels have been reduced to address the algae problem. However, if the plant debris is not removed it will just reconstitute when the water is return. Additionally, the trash in lagoon #3 is not being picked up adding to the toxic soup that is lagoon #3, the most neglected section of the lagoon system. And where does this polluted water go when the lagoons are lowered?

Overflowing trash at Scout Park by lagoon #3.

    Scout Park and Lagoon #3:
The trash cans are overflowing again and there is litter strewn all over this little park. The grass is dead and the plants are unhealthy and dying. The only time there anything gets done is when there are complaints on SeeClickFix.
The Alameda Lagoon Homeowners Association refuse to take responsibility for a solution to this perennial mess. My understanding is that the park is city responsibility.
The last time I posted on this problem, Public Works committed to finding out who is responsible for the maintenance of this park. Months later, still nothing.

The trash can in Scout Park at Oak and Powell has not been emptied in weeks. Someone put a "please empty me" sign and still ignored. This poor little park at Lagoon #3 is perennially neglected. Alameda needs to step it up/
