I sent below to permits last week and they are not interested. Who else in st pete might be?

"> In 1996 I had a roof installed by a licensed contractor. it started leaking after 3 years. The contractor came to fix it several times, but it kept leaking. After the 7th year they would not come out unless I paid them. I had several other licensed roofers try and fix it many times over the years. Nothing worked. We replaced one of the ridge vents a few years ago and we noticed that it was not installed to the manufacturer's requirements. So, I then contacted the manufacturer of this TAS 100 approved ridge vent and got the instructions for 1996 and again, the roofing contractor did not install these properly. I contacted the roofing contractor and they refused to fix this.

    > This roofing contractor still installs roofs in this area.

    > Later this year or early next year I will be getting a new roof. I big part of the cost will be replacing water damaged wood because of these leaks.

    > I would like st pete permit department to come by to see and document how the ridge vents were improperly installed as we remove them and see if the underlayment was installed correctly."

Who should I contact concerning this, since permits does not care?

During a construction, the easements are often left to overgrow and become an unsafe nuisance for pedestrians and bikers. I walk a lot and experience this regularly. The one that Im dealing with now is on the east side of 34th street between burlington and 3rd ave n.

Typically I walk on 3rd ave n heading toward 34th street. Several times I've been forced to walk in the street because the sidewalk is so over grown with weeds that it is literally unpassable. There is a fence blocking off the actual construction area and the sidewalk and easement are both outside this area. A few times they had equipment outside the fence blocking the sidewalk. Once they had a 4" diameter hose going under the fence and stopping at the sidewalk gushing water over the sidewalk, thru the easement, then into the street. It was like that for several days. No one could use the sidewalk there and if you did not notice it until you were there, then you got all wet walking thru the soaked over grown easement. Today there was a piece of construction tape blocking the sidewalk (again this was outside the construction fence) , for no reason that I could see, not at one end of the site, but right in the middle.

Businesses and also residentials are required to maintain their easements, I think the contractors should also. This is a safety issue. It also looks nasty.

A lawn business parks their truck, trailer and other equipment and blocks my entire access to my house-every week. I do realize that it is legal for anyone to park there. However, this is where I park when i unload groceries and this is very inconvenient for me. I am disabled. I have asked them 5 times to not park there, but they keep doing it.

I have called the police and they say that since there are no no parking signs there, that they can do nothing.

I think since this is a business and business equipment and Ive asked 5 times, that something could be done. Is there anything?
