I received a call from a Venice resident that graffiti was placed on the wall surrounding Curry Creek Villas...Venice does not own or maintain this wall. Albee Farm Rd. is a Sarasota County owned and maintained roadway, so it is possible that the County does own and maintain the wall. Resident requested that the graffiti be removed.

I received a call reporting that the public restrooms at Hecksher Park need cleaning.

Caller reported that the flag displayed by the sign at Regency Square is in poor condition

Street sign at the corner of East Venice Avenue and Live Oak Street is down.

Vandals are removing red clay from Chuck Reiter Park and dumping it on Island Park Condo property. Condo resident asked if the red clay supply could be secured to deter the vandals. I have additional photos, if needed.

Resident complained about overgrowth by the Intracoastal Canal that would block her view of the Christmas Boat Parade.

Resident called to report flooding in front of CVS Pharmacy and Sabal Bank.

Resident said the streetlight located at the corner of Harbor Drive South and Valencia Road has been out for several weeks.

Street sign that says BUMP 15 MPH is leaning, needs to be straightened out. Thanks.

Resident reported that a piece of rebar is upright in the sand at 631 Alhambra Road, approx. 10 ft. away from the path leading to the beach. The resident is apprehensive to try to remove the rebar.

Property owner called me to report they just returned from Michigan and cleaned up their property from Hurricane Irma. Said she needed the claw to pick up this yard waste. Can you let me know when this will be picked up. Thanks.

Homeowners visited with me yesterday...said solid waste truck claw created the hole when it picked up tree debris. Said they requested that the hole be filled in and were denied. Yesterday they requested that the hole be filled in and the sod replaced. Is there anything we can do for them?

Homeowner said the pine tree on the right (which gets crooked toward the top) is leaning more since the hurricane. Says the trees are on an easement and wants to know if the city will remove the tree.

Received a call from maintenance worker at Venice High School reporting that there is a very large hole between the sidewalk and road that is between Venice High and Venice Elementary. He is concerned that one of the elementary school children will get hurt.

Caller said a small stop sign on the Venetian Waterway Park is down.
