Lane markings do not reflect new lane merge signs AcknowledgedCambridge Street Boston, Massachusetts - Allston-BrightonThe lane markings are worn away here, exiting from the Pike. New signage indicates a new lane merge before Harvard St but the lane markings are worn and confusing. Please adjust either the signage or lane markings to be clear to those coming off the Pike.

Sign for Islington Rd and lighting Archived1-5 Islington Road Newton Massachusetts - NewtonAt night, it is very difficult to notice the turn for Islington Road. It would be useful to:
1) Add lighting near Comm Ave (instead of just at the Carriage Path) so that the intersection is more visible
2) The street sign is at the Carriage Path and not very visible from Comm Ave. Most people are turning from Comm Ave and it would be useful to have a sign that is visible from Comm Ave instead of just the Carriage Path.
Thank you. -
Duplicate lane markings at intersection Acknowledged2128-2140 Commonwealth Avenue Newton, Massachusetts - NewtonThere are duplicate and conflicting lane markings at this intersection. During the day, it's somewhat clear what's intended. But when it's dark and especially when raining, it's hard to see which set of markings to follow. This was corrected one block east on Comm Ave in front of the Dunkin' Donuts but not here

Worcester Street Wellesley Massachusetts - WellesleyIn this construction area, there is a lane merge that isn't clear. There is a sign warning about the lane merge, but it's well after the merge is completed. Could you please move the merge warning sign so that it is *prior* to the merge?
-
Nonantum Road Boston, Massachusetts - Allston-BrightonThe lane markings have fully worn away at the lane merge, making it tough to know if there is one or two lanes at a given place.

Double telephone pole Acknowledged8-26 Islington Road Newton, Massachusetts - NewtonThere is a double telephone pole here. Please remove the unnecessary pole and relocate wires to the functioning pole.

Repaint crosswalk Archived409 Lexington Street Newton, Massachusetts - NewtonDuring construction at this intersection, there is no provision for pedestrians on the north side on Comm Ave. During business hours, it is great that there is a police detail to help direct traffic and pedestrians. Off hours, though, pedestrians must walk in traffic and do not have a protected place to stand. I've observed parents pushing strollers in traffic lanes out of necessity and been required to do this myself as well. Thank you for providing some accommodation during construction in this village center.

New sign request Acknowledged1479 Washington Street Newton, Massachusetts - NewtonOn the ramp exiting the Mass Pike at the traffic light that merges with Washington Street, right turns are allowed on red from the right-hand lane. In practice, though, cars turn right on red from *both* lanes. I've observed cars honk at others in the left lane at red lights because they are not turning through the red light. Please update the signage to reflect common practice - or enforce what is actually permitted here.

Confusing lane markings AcknowledgedSoldiers Field Road Boston, Massachusetts - Allston-BrightonThe lane markings at the exit for N Harvard Street are confusing. It looks like the two right-most lanes can exit, but the markings are ambiguous. In practice, that was probably not intended - and I would suggest is probably dangerous. Please adjust the lane markings and/or signage to be explicit and reflect what was intended and allowed.
-
Other Acknowledged500 Soldiers Field Road Boston, Massachusetts - Allston-BrightonApproaching the ramp for the Mass Pike, are there 3 lanes or 4 lanes here? There is room for 4 lanes, but the markings show only 3 lanes. Could you please adjust the lane markings to be clear enough to reflect what was intended here?

494 Main Street Cambridge, Massachusetts - The Port
This was reported on Universal Hub here: http://www.universalhub.com/2016/massholes-know-train-crossing-warning-lights-never
I've seen it myself, too, and with a much closer near-collision.

Sidewalk Defect Archived108-110 Hancock St Cambridge, MA 02139, USA - Mid-CambridgeBricks are missing in the sidewalk here. There's lots of stroller traffic to the park and the big spot with missing bricks is troublesome.
