Update on abandoned basement foundations. I received a call from Bruce Evans, Directy of Community Development for City of St. Charles yesterday. He advised that they have identiifed 12 locations within New Town which are currently owned by WBI Resolution folks (aka "the bank"). The building permits were taken out in 2008 and 2009 and have obviously long since expired. City has attempted to make contact to inquire about their plans with no response so far. Of course, the best option is to discuss and arrive at an equitable solution. If that does not happen, the City can require the foundations to be removed or enclosed and they will pursue that if necessary. Mr. Evans was very empathetic and stated that he would continue to work on this until it is resolved.

Dangerous Sidewalks Archived3330 Granger Boulevard St. Charles, MO 63301, USA - St. CharlesWhere the sidewalk ends? Sidewalk needs to extend along Granger Blvd. to permit pedestrian access to community park. This represents an imminent threat to public safety - particularly for children and the handicapped. In addition neighborhood association has not maintained this area allowing garbage and weeds to accumulate. This provides a habitat for vermin and other undesirable items.

Storm Water/Drainage Issues Archived3300 Granger Boulevard St. Charles, MO 63301, USA - St. CharlesPerpetual Birdbath - floods regularly even from lawn irrigation usage. This location requires an inlet in my opinion. Further, the sidewalk floods due to this problem and presents an imminent safety hazard to pedestrians.
