    901 Portwood Avenue Oakland, California - North Kennedy Tract
    The house they are adjacent to is under renovation and there is a lot of trash as a result of the renovation... would also be nice if someone could talk to the new owner about not trashing the neighborhood before he even moves in. Also he has a porta-potty out front which he has left unlocked and the neighbors have seen vans full of people stopping to use it like it's a rest stop.

    The pedestrian crossing is apparently not registering on the brains of drivers. Tonight I stood there while the crossing signal lit up and the light was red for cars and watched 15-20 cars blow through the red light without even slowing down. Would be better to take down the lights since they give pedestrians the illusion is safety.

    Ever since Caltrans constructed the sound wall along the freeway and closed the 880 northbound on ramp, there has been a HUGE problem with gigantic (up to 53 foot long trailers) trucks trying to get from Dreisbach warehouses to the northbound 880. I have fought with all the GPS mapping systems to get the change noted, but have been unsuccessful with some systems and additionally there are still many truckers with outdated systems who get stuck on our streets (E. 9th between 23rd and Portwood and even worse on the ONE WAY loop Portwood to Lisbon (which doesn't even show on your map!!!!). This is maybe my fourth or fifth attempt to get help from the city...today I happen to be home sick from work and intervened in a confrontation which could have gotten violent between a woman truck driver and a seriously angry man who was refusing to allow her to back up even though that was her ONLY option. We need signs on E. 10th at 26th Ave., 27th Ave., Lisbon and Portwood that say "NO FREEWAY ACCESS / NO TRUCKS"
  • 504 29th Avenue Oakland, California - South Kennedy Tract
    At the intersection of 29th Ave. and Ford Street (heading towards Alameda, coming off the overpass) the brand new left turn arrow seems to be set too high on the pole. When I am the first car waiting to turn left I can't see the signal when I'm sitting normally, have to lean way forward over the steering wheel, which isn't the best position to be in while driving. I hate to complain about this because I am SOOOO happy to have the signal at this intersection, but it seems like it would be a fairly easy fix.
  • Fruitvale Avenue Alameda, California - Alameda
    Not sure what to choose, but there are two places in the block just after the Fruitvale Ave bridge where water is leaking from pipes (broken sprinkler system?) . One is on the right side heading into Alameda right after the bridge and the other is on the center divider. I've been noticing them for a couple of weeks but could never remember to report it when I got home.

    2900-2920 East 9th Street Oakland California - North Kennedy Tract

    It appears the potholes were (partially) filled sometime between Friday evening and when I posted this.

    The entire stretch of E. 9th (in front of the Fruitvale shopping center) is horrible but there are now two gigantic potholes right in the middle of the intersection of the exit from 880 onto 29th avenue.
