    The Ride--Bus Schedule Continued Failures:
Please Forward this to city and county and quasi -governmental Administrators who oversee the bus service:
This is Mike Stearns, an employee/owner of a financial advisor in Kerrytown. I have had a series of bad experiences using The Ride, pretty much from day 1 years ago. The problem is getting worse. I can’t continue to use the #33 bus because there is no recognizable schedule for the afternoon and evening. The morning is fine. But I can’t get home.
I’ve regularly waited 10 to 20 minutes past the scheduled time. Yesterday was the topper. The Kerrytown stop didn’t see #33 outbound bus for at least almost an hour. It is supposed to run every 30 minutes. At that time. I showed up at 5:15 and saw 3 #32 buses go by, beginning at 5:28. The number 33 bus finally showed up at 6:10. A completely random time.

I almost walked over and returned my bus pass to your group this morning. Anecdotally, at least in the area where I work, the schedule is a joke and the reputation is well known. This is a great way to ruin everything that you are working for, not to mention my ability to put dinner on the table.

I wrote a complaint to The Ride once before earlier in the summer. I did get a dismissive response. The person indicated that there was construction in town so the schedules can’t be adhered to. (that bus was 15-20 minutes late). The construction is now gone in town, and yesterday was worse. I tried to call the after hours number to find out where the bus was, and that number put me on auto attendant wait long enough for me to hang up. The bus tracker didn’t work. I noticed also today that there is no more an obvious way to give feedback on the Ride website. I did dig around and find it eventually

So that’s my story. Canary in the coal mine. The reputation is being built. I’ve lived in a lot of cities and taken a lot of buses, “T”s, “L”s, subways and trams. I’ve never experienced such poor schedule ability.
