The side walk along Lawton Avenue on the even numbered side of the street between Adams and Linden is extremely cracked and uneven with grass and small tree growth in the cracks. The side walk is also raised about 12 inches above the road in places. Several of the concrete steps (especially in front of my house) leading from the sidewalk to the homes are also cracked and pose a trip hazard. In addition, at Adams street, there is a tree growing out of the drainage area of the sidewalk. At Linden, the drain doesn't work properly and water collects there when it rains. It may be related to the badly damaged sidewalk. These irregularities in the side walk and stairs pose a significant fall hazard. The sidewalk probably needs to be completely replaced.
