I have trimmed back fire blighted areas on the lower branches with good results. The upper crown, which I could not reach, needs to be pruned back. Sidewalk repairs, due to root damage by same tree, has been completed. Building inspector indicated that city arborist should prune tree regardless to prevent shock due to roots being trimmed down. Pear street tree in front of neighbors house at 1225 Pearl Street needs to have fire blight pruned back. I believe the trees keep infecting each other.

Trees (Street Trees) Archived1227 Pearl Street Alameda, California - AlamedaThe flowering pear street tree in front of 1227 Pearl Street needs three palm fronds removed that have lodged themselves in the tree crown. Possible falling item hazard for pedestrians and cars passing by due to palm fronds sharp edges. There are branches of this same tree that have remnants of fire blight and these dead branches need to be pruned. Also, could an arborist please check the health of a flowering pear street tree in front of 1225 Pearl Street that has severe fire blight. I have not seen this tree grow very much since living here for the past 17 years. Thank you.
