there is trash all over the street on the corner of Henry Johnson and state because the city does not pick up trash frequently enough over the weekends. the city garbage cans are overflowing like they do after every single weekend. there is trash all over the sidewalk and in the streets with bags of dog feces all over the place.

like what happens every week, the city does not pick up trash often enough over the weekend and so the garbage is overflowing here. it is all over the sidewalk and in the street with animals picking at it. the city says the property owners are responsible for cleaning up their trash but what about when the property is the cities? then they don't worry about keeping things clean.

leaves are piled up near residential buildings and then blow into basement stairways causing homeowners to clean up the city's mess.

At the corner of State and Englewood, in the bushes, there are about a half dozen uncapped needles and blankets where homeless people sleep every night. I have seen children playing in that area so please address this reoccurring problem.

The owner of this property has illegally put up signs stating that there is no parking in front of her side door and that is a loading zone. only the city is able to put up parking signs, not individual property owners.

all of the interior Park Street lights on Albany plan of Union between Willet and Sprague are out. it makes it very dangerous to park your car and then walk to State. it is pitch black and it is very difficult to see anyone or anything over there.

Trash not picked up (State and Willet). Thank you for putting this trash can back after weeks due to the film shoot but DGS seemingly forgot that it's there. The other trash cans in the park were emptied but not this one. DGS also does not trim the grass here so it's overgrown hiding dog feces and a jar of urine.

  • Street Light Arquivada

yet again more street lights are out. this is a cheap fixable thing for the city to take care of that will reduce crime in the neighborhood. The city put LEDs in so they would last long, why are these out so frequently?

I saw the sign at the entrance to Washington Park this evening. The city is going to start reinforcing timed parking in the park. One of the only positive things to come out of the pandemic had been the ability to park in Washington Park. There is not enough parking for everyone in the area and having this as an option has been invaluable. It makes no sense that the city is taking this away and the Mayor should come up with a better solution for local residents. Instead of putting times restrictions on parking for everyone maybe there should be an exemption for people with parking permits. I urge the city to reconsider this very bad decision.

The walk/don't walk sign doesn't light up. it's dangerous because you can't see the traffic light and the one that's closest to the corner is out.

The owner of 1 Englewood Place has heavily spread red pepper flakes all over the public sidewalk running the perimeter of their property along both Englewood and State Street. A quick Google search shows that this is a malicious way to keep dogs away and could cause contact burns on their paws, respiratory distress, and gastrointestinal upset (including vomiting and diarrhea), among other things. It can also be potentially life threatening to small children with respiratory issues as they might touch, eat, or inhale, the large amount of pepper flakes spread all over the sidewalk. The community and city should not tolerate this willful, blatant, and malicious behavior. I dislike when pet owners don't clean up after their pets as much as the next person, but this is taking things too far and jeopardizes the health and welfare of all dogs and small children. During these fraught times, it's terrible to have to force parents and dog owners into this situation and more important than ever to come together as a positive community.

there is a white pine tree in Washington Park, along state Street, that has a very large limb which is dead. It looks like the limb is going to split off from the tree and fall. since the living so large it poses a significant safety issue.
