Nothing exotic, just a burnt out street light. Thanks for looking into it.

Some dumped a mattress, a garbage bag, and looks like some white paint spilled right in front of 64 & 66 Mercer Street, between Barrow and Grove. Wasn't there this morning. The mattress was right in the middle of the sidewalk, so I just pushed it a bit out of the way now closer to the curb so that people could get by, but it's not mine. Don't know if it's anyone else's in either building, but I think it should be picked up and discarded since it's partially blocking the sidewalk.

Some people have complained online that SeeClickFix isn't letting them submit a complaint, just checking to see if it's true. Please disregard this post otherwise, just my way of helping with all the mis- and disinformation being spread around so close to the election.

There's a festival at City Hall today which is great, I love that we have such a diverse city and celebrate life together, sincerely, it's a great thing. I get it since it's around City Hall some streets need to be blocked. So I'm in an Uber coming back from ShopRite with a *trunk full of groceries* I buy a month's worth at a time. The traffic guard at the north side of the intersection of Barrow and Montgomery wouldn't let my Uber up the block to at least leave me just a 1/5 block from home to unload my groceries. No matter how much I pleaded she wouldn't have it. I couldn't unload there because of all the traffic so the Uber had to leave me at the corner of Jersey and Mercer. Then I had to relay walk my bags of groceries -- luckily I brought my canvas ones this morning and it wasn't 50 plastic bags -- and 1/2 hour later I arrived at my apartment, a 57yo, 275# asthmatic, my back killing me, covered in sweat.

I essentially never complain, once I think here. But this was ridiculous. If you're trying to keep traffic from turning onto Grove from Barrow, the place to put the guards up is on the east side of the Wayne/Barrow intersection, the only street between Montgomery and Columbus with eastbound traffic. Otherwise I don't get why the blocks were closed off. There was a huge traffic jam on Montgomery, and everything between Grove and Jersey between Montgomery and Columbus was devoid of moving cars -- and people -- I saw one guy reading the paper on his stoop, that's it. The only other person there was me, cursing in Spanish, schlepping my bags.

    Absurdities.

They drove by, picked up something, but left the rest of the recycling all over the sidewalk as shown in pictures. I just restacked it neatly on the curb. They need to come back to finish the job. We can't store this for another week. Ack.. this only lets me upload one picture.. I have several showing everything they left behind.
