Four days ago, crews who maintain the landscaping in the median on North Main St. blew their debris (dirt, grass clippings, loose mulch, leaves, etc.) to the opposite gutter. This is a common occurrence. While the median looks great, the street looks terrible. N. Main is the prettiest street in town, so the town should try to keep it looking nice. Of course, this debris will also eventually end up in the storm drains...clogging them.

The grounds maintenance crews who take care of the median on North Main Street have started blowing their debris (grass clipping, loose mulch, leaves, dirt, etc.) to the curb away from the median. Apparently, the intent is for someone else to pick it up later...which never happens. This makes North Main unsightly and contributes to clogged storm drains.

Street light at the corner of W. Juniper Avenue and N. Main Street does not work.
  • 101-123 Front St Wake Forest, NC, 27587, USA - Wake Forest
Only ONE of FIVE street lights work on N. Front Street between N. Main Street and Roosevelt Ave! The only light that works is the one in the island with the “WF” tree. The first street light on S. Front Street (heading from Roosevelt) is also out. This makes the walk to and from N. Main to/from downtown very dark and a little creepy.

The median on N. Main Street is very unsightly! Piles of leaves and sticks were left on it all winter killing some of the grass. Now, the remaining grass (mostly weeds) has gone unmowed and is nearly knee-high in spots. The natural areas are also full of weeds. There are deep ruts from trucks which have ridden up on the grass.

Storm drain is clogged on the east side of N. Main Street between E. Walnut and E. Juniper. When it rains, a large amount of dirt and debris is deposited in the street and on the sidewalk. This creates a hazard and is very unsightly.
  • 400-500 North Main Street Wake Forest, North Carolina - Wake Forest
Storm drain on east side of N. Main between E. Juniper and E. Walnut is clogged. A moderate amount of rain deposits dirt and debris in the street and on the sidewalk all the way to E. Juniper Avenue.

Street Light at this intersection has not worked for at least 6 months. This part of N. Main is very dark. I have reported this problem on two previous occasions.
  • W. Juniper And N. Main Wake Forest, NC - Wake Forest
This street light does not come on most nights. It was on one night last week but has not been on at night since. Two weeks ago, I noticed it was on during the day. Since there is not a corresponding light on the other side on N. Main, this is a very dark area at night.
