    I recently had a manhole replaced out in front of our house by a great team of city workers and am very thankful for that. But since then, there has been a rapid change in my curb very near that manhole as the street starts turning the corner. A major break in the curb has opened up and it is apparent it is moving around, presumably because of expansion and contraction due to the great amount of water that has pooled there over the years. The city is also taking care of an old curb at 1401 S. Lions Ave. which is across the street. Can you please look at my curb also. Note that we are still seeing cracks in the pavement of the road in that area. And in the other direction there is a GREAT deal of grass growing in the street. I try to scrape that off with a flat shovel, but it has become too much to manage and the owner can't. It is clear that the years of water pooling on our corner is taking its toll.

    The manhole at the intersection of W. Pittsburg Street and Lions Avenue is sinking. Neighbors are concerned that it may collapse into the sewer/drainage underneath and leave a big hole in the middle of W. Pittsburg St. It seems like it went down another inch recently. Not sure when. There are cracks in the pavement emanating from the manhole outward.

    Neighbors and I would like a speed bump put in between W. Pittsburg St. and W. Pittsburg Place on S. Lions Ave. We have been meeting with each other and Lisa Ford on a number of issues. How soon can we get this done? We have already had one dog killed with a high speed vehicle. I am concerned people could be hurt as there are a lot of people walking every night.
