The north side of the intersection (both directions) at arvonia & 17th needs some TLC. With traffic at a low due to construction, it might be a perfect time to cut out and replace the problem areas so that it will not need revisited once traffic returns to normal.

There used to be a sign not to block the intersection here. It seems to have gone missing at some point. It was never good at keeping the intersection clear as people would ignore the sign. Would it be possible to have some markings on the pavement to try to instruct drivers to keep the intersection clear?

The railroad crossing needs repaired which would likely require working with UPRR. Many of the crossings need repair along this line.

can something be done about the speeds along this stretch of Huntoon? In the morning people are coming up over the hill in excess of 50 mph. I have nearly been hit twice this week due to the speeds here. The morning around 715-730 is really bad. Even with the hill being lowered, visibility from the drives to the apartments and the businesses is not great. maybe bringing back the advisory sign for a lower speed limit will bring some awareness but I imagine it would be ignored.

looks like the owner started working on the property then just piled all the debris on the ground beside the house. Sanitation, security, and mowing has been a continual issue for this property for at least a year now. Hopefully the project they are doing is completed at some point.

Why is there a concrete gutter in the middle of the road on 17th? I know they were trying to direct water flow but it seems there are better ways to accomplish this task. Right now, traffic flow is slowed down a lot due to this gutter being in place which limits the number of cars that can go through this intersection east-west. Bottoming out in my Fusion is a real possibility if I don't slow down to 15 mph going through here which I'm guessing was not intended from a traffic flow stand point. Are there plans to rework this area when 17th toward I-470 is repaired?

another large dip in the pavement has appeared on 19th. May need to check that utilities or joints in the bedrock are not the cause. if the latter, the bedrock joint will likely need grouting to prevent a sudden collapse in the future.

large holes in the lot going to Perkins, Auto zone, Pizza hut and other businesses. these have been present for awhile now with the property owner making no progress on filling them. There is also a hole at the intersection with Huntoon. Not sure if this would be within the area of city maintenance.

Can someone check the button for the crosswalk for Jackson Street. it seems the button on the north east corner is no longer working. the last few times I have pushed the button I have not gotten the walk signal. thank you!

The trees over the sidewalk need some trimming. The limbs are hanging down almost to the ground. It looks like in the past, trimming went to 5-5.5 feet off the ground based on a large limb just above this height. This is the small park area at Huntoon and Jackson.

the south bound lane on Gage needs attention again. The area was ground down last year but it seems the area is bulging causing a rough spot. Not sure if grinding is an option or if a more extensive repair is needed.

Many potholes between 19th and 21st. The road almost looks like it is beyond the point where it can be efficiently or effectively patched.

Traffic signal (with turn light) for northbound traffic on Fairlwawn needs a new led for the yellow @ Huntoon and Fairlwawn.

Please thank the motorcycle units that have been sitting in this area of Kansas. They seem to stay constantly busy. They should know those that work in the area and cross the roads in the area appreciate the work they are doing. The speeds people travel along that stretch of Kansas and even 10th Street in that area are ridiculous. Thank you for the hard work.

I have submitted a ticket for this a few times which keep getting closed with no action. There are potholes at along 10th in the westbound lane. The largest is at the crest of the hill. I know this section is slated for replacement but the holes need to keep being filled until that happens.

Huntoon eastbound the seams in the concrete are breaking apart approaching the intersection. Sealing (mastic or microseal) the area may help slow the deterioration so it doesn't end up like 21st. further east past the intersection, many of the patches have sunken down.
