This drainage ditch in city easement needs serious cleaning out. It was dug out and had rip rap placed a few years ago, but no barrier was put in first. So it just grows up every year into a mess. It keeps the water from flowing through well on the other side and when raining a lot backs up into the adjacent back yard and property across the road. The entire waterway is also blocked by a closed culvert going into the field beyond it, but I think that is county property.

There is a cross walk button to allow walkers across Cecil ashburn. I assume it is new as I’ve never been stopped by it in over a decade. This needs to be deactivated, at least during work travel times. Three older men activated it this morning, bringing all west bound trafffic to a halt. That signal held longer than the ridiculous light at Garth and bailey cove that barely lets cars through at times. Traffic piled up on Cecil quite a way, and if we had been at normal traffic capacity it would have been extensive. Having a cross walk signal there is like having one at dug hill road on 431-and there isn’t!

This was 8/12/20 around 7:30am. When Cecil ashburn is fully open and everyone is at normal work sites, this access road to stores will be bad. Cars will be backed up a long way from the bailey cove light on Cecil (2 lanes down to 1 lane, just moved problem from one side of mountain to other I fear). The car on the right attempted to shoot across the road to join the traffic heading west. Almost hit someone. Backed up. After this, one vehicle slowed and let them in causing those behind to slam on their brakes. That access road should ONLY allow people into the adjacent lane (if any) to make a right turn. Way too much happens all around this intersection (access to business and no turn lanes) making it very dangerous. Every morning and afternoon people try to cross into the Walgreen’s road from south side of Cecil (against restrictions on sign that no one heeds), or they try to force their way out to head west or south on bailey cove.

Since the theater closed, this property has been let go. The grassy areas look like farmland now. The trees along the access road are growing into the travel lanes. It’s a mess!!

The signal was on for Bob Wallace even though no one ever approached the light from Crestwood and the school was closed. People just pulled up to the light it was already on there were no cars and he just held and held and then finally it changed to green for Bob Wallace.

Traffic signal turning red on bailey cove when no people going in or coming out of shopping center. Turned red, held about 10 secs then went green again.

Much of the outside westbound lane of Drake Avenue is collapsing and has some bad pothole replacements. most of that lane needs to be ground down and re-paved to correct it. This is between Whitesburg and the railroad tracks

Can the timing be longer at the old big Cove 431 light so that it holds longer for old big Cove?With the Cecil Ashburn closure many people took this as a viable route and now a big line develops on old big Cove and the light never empties that entire line out on the light change. Causes several to sit through two light changes.

Can the timing of the lights to turn onto the parkway from 431B checked please? The light should hold long enough to empty out the full turn lanes but it is not doing that this the turn lanes are backing up almost into the roadAnd some people have to sit in the turn lanes for two light signal changes

On Thursday afternoon, driving south on whitesburg then into turn lane onto Sherwood, the light went red. No one was on Sherwood or had been. It turned green for Sherwood and we all just had to wait.

The timing of this signal needs to be adjusted to give more turns for California Street from what it currently does or it needs to have a smart features added to it. Very often i and many others will sit here at this light waiting to turn onto whitesburg going south and it’ll back up all the way to Bob Wallace, sometimes further, and not a single car will go through the Whitesburg side of the light. Then the the cherry on top, as soon as the light does turn for California people will show up at whitesburg and they have to sit. It’s as if the light at drake is in no way synced with this light (if even possible). But early in the day (at least 6:45-7:15) there seem to be more people trying to get through that intersection from CA than whitesburg. You can see in the picture no one on whitesburg and us sitting CA. I was about midway between light and bob Wallace and cars were behind me to bob Wallace. Not a single vehicle went through on whitesburg the entire time I sat there.

Please adjust the lights for morning traffic to prioritize Cecil ashburn. There are WAY more vehicles heading west in the morning on that road than those in bailey cove. Currently backups can happen all the way to the apt entrance and when the light turns green not nearly enough are getting through. When there are a full two lanes flowing to that intersection it is clear there will be backups to donegal or further at times if something isnt done.

Can the city please remove the yellow cross walk signs that have been added in the middle of the road? They are a nuisance and danger. They keep getting knocked out of place and into the lane or off the road. This morning almost had an accident as car in front of me swerved at last minute to avoid one that was sitting partially in the lane. Don’t know if wind blew it last night or what. These are unnecessary as this crosswalk has been here for years with no issues.

There is an entire section of this road collapsing. It looks like shattered glass that is sinking into the ground

Have passed several semis and other large delivery trucks on Cecil that aren’t supposed to be on that road. Create huge backups.

The new lane lines on 4 mile post aren’t long enough. They don’t cover all of the length of the new width that has been made. Need to be fully extended.
