Dust treatment was far from sufficient on last application. After the road was graded last week, the chloride that was applied was far too light. Making it totally ineffective since once the light layer dried in the hot sun on the fresh graded road, it just all blew away as traffic drove over it. I’ve seen much better jobs of applying it slower/more liberally. I don’t understand how or why the sub quality job was done after the grading since it’s the optimal time to really apply the chloride so that it can soak in and pack down. Now the whole road is just a dust bowl.

Road grader made a couple passes on Wednesday which was very welcoming to us. However due to the heavy rain and hardly any stone in the road, it’s now a huge muddy mess that’s just rutting up already. This morning the garbage truck came down and got stuck in front of my home and left deep ruts, which continue down most of the road.

I understand this is a low traffic road with only two homes on it, however I don’t understand why at least a layer of stone can’t be spread to help hold the road together and keep it from becoming a mud/ rut distaster every time it rains. I’m not asking for the whole road to be built up, I understand that is costly and is a budgeted type project. However I really would like someone to
Come out today and see the road and understand how badly it needs stone. The road would last much longer after gradings as well.

Can we please get some stone spread on the road? I know we’re not supposed to get any major improvement/stone but this road is terrible. Any time it rains it’s pure mud. Then it dries and has giant ruts and potholes. Even when it’s been graded all it takes is one soaking rain and the road is terrible again.

I know it may be too early for a full road grading, but if some Stone could please be spread in the few really bad spots or a light scraping to fill in the holes, it would be greatly appreciated

Someone recently knocked over a cement barricaded at the northern condemned culvert in attempts to go through. They also dumped a load of broken concrete in the west ditch.

The road has been closed for over 8 months now, and despite the current signage and barricades, dozens of cars daily still come speeding down the road to the cement barricades and then turn around and drive like idiots. Today 7/31/2017 a girl traveling south bound on moon from saline milan road approached the cement barricades so fast she rolled her car twice (you can confirm this with Washtenaw count sheriffs dept, and or milan area fire dept).

Could something be done with more signage to further alert these drivers from coming down the road at 60+mph right up to the barricades? I have already update all popular GPS apps to reflect the closure but people are just not smart enough or observant enough to see current signage from the approaching roads. Keep in mind, us living on the roads don't mind the closure nor do we complain about it. However I just want to make the county aware of the issue with people who "never saw a sign".

I would like if someone could come out and validate my claim and see that there is very little stone content in the roadway, it's mostly just lime powder so whenever it rains the road becomes very muddy and ruts/potholes very easily. The road graders did an excellent job last month cutting back some of the high shoulders allowing the rain water to better run off. However after each rain the road deteriorates very quickly with little travel. I am asking that it be considered to have a layer of just stone laid over the road to help it hold together better and make the road surface better in between scheduled gradings. Thank you!

We are able to drive around it, however it may make it difficult for garbage truck to get around.

Talladay road from Whittaker rd to mccrone, as well as mccrone rd from willow to stonycreek has become nearly impassible for small vehicles due to major potholes in large quantity. We have a group home located in the area in which EMS services must travel these roads and have also taken notice to the severity of the road problem. Could these roads please be graded in the very near future, it's a safety issue on multiple levels.

It's not of high importance, however my. Neighbors and I would like to see if when the next road grading is scheduled if the grader operator could try to cut the shoulders of the road down to help keep the road from flooding in heavy rains. The majority of the road (willow from moon to dead end) has shoulders that are much higher than the road crown. If the shoulders and/or crown of the road could be better graded this spring it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

"Road ends" signs that were recently placed at the cement barricades over condemned culverts have broken and fallen over. Concerned that on a foggy night or morning someone may not be able to distinguish the cement barricades from the gravel road and crash into them. Motorist continue to attempt the moon rd bypass daily (I guess that they can't read all the signage). So if both signs could be put back up and secured better it may save a potential MVA. Thank you.

Please help the people who live on the south side of the moon road rd closure near willow. The hills and curves coming north on moon from stony creek are icy with rain water ontop making for very slick to near dangerous travel, could this please be sanded At least since it is everyone on this side of the moon rd closure relies on this route.
