No permit, and the nose of the vehicle is less than a foot from the edge of my driveway. Thank you.

Another one, not even a block from the first. And BTW, who authorized Limebike to deploy motorized bikes? And why are motorized bikes on our sidewalks?
  • 34 Clifton St Malden, MA 02148, USA - Malden Ward 4
Square in the middle of the sidewalk. The rights of pedestrians and the disabled mean nothing to this company or to this city. Their rights are an inconvenience to them. You've had two years now. Get this right or get the bikes out of here altogether.

Neighborhood is overrun with illiegally parked vehicles. None of these three vehicles have a resident permit.

Blocking pedestrian/disabled ramp and too close to (actually in) the intersection. Please ticket. Vehicle should be towed really.

I just witnessed yet ANOTHER near head on collision caused by a reckless driver turning from Winter onto Autumn. This one drove past stopped traffic the full length of the block on Winter from Banks to Autumn on the wrong side of the double yellow, before nearly hitting a car head on turning right from Autumn onto Winter. This is CONSTANT during the evening rush hour, whenever the traffic backs up from Main. I have nearly been hit more times than I can count, as has probably just about every driver who lives in this neighborhood. The behavior is horrendously dangerous, not only for other drivers, but especially for pedestrians who have no reason to expect a car driving the wrong way. As I posted before, I saw a woman and two young children almost run over a few months back by a driver pulling this exact same stunt. The area is dangerous enough without this being tolerated. We need some enforcement here please. Between this and the drivers flying the wrong way up Kenmore as a short cut, it is only a matter of time before something very bad happens.

This vehicle has been parked like this on Autumn St since the beginning of last week. As you can see from the photo, and by comparison to the car in the background, the car is parked a considerable distance from the edge of the road, blocking part of the northbound travel lane. It's about two feet from the edge of the pavement, which is eroded an additional two feet. So the vehicle ought to be three to four feet over (like the one in the background). The position of the car also makes it unnecessarily difficult to back out of our driveway when we want to head north on Autumn. While there was a snowbank in place last week, it was understandable. But now that the snow is gone, and has been for several days, the owner needs to get his/her vehicle out of the travel portion of the road and park it properly on the side. We've been very patient and have held off on reporting in hopes that the owner will eventually return to the car and move it. But it hasn't happened. Thank you.

While National Grid is paying the wages for the officers, that does not mean that it is without cost to the city. The city has invested significant resources in the training of these officers and incurs costs relative to the employment of each that are not recovered. In addition, there are a finite number of officers in the city. Having what is probably in excess of 5% of the department at National Grid at any given time takes officers away from other possible assignments. How often have we heard that we lack sufficient manpower for more intensive traffic enforcement, for example? And just last month, an engineer at a job site on Main told me that MPD had specifically cited the lockout as the reason for the unavailability of an officer at his location. So to say it is without cost is simply not accurate. End the lockout.

Mr. Mayor: We know you're there. We see you posting about potholes. Remember when you promised us all that you would bring "transparency" to our city government? Well then, why have you silenced an entire community? What are you hiding? Who are you hiding from? Our city government is supposed to be a democracy. But this is a move straight out of a banana republic.

Why can no one post a comment on ANY Malden related issue? I note that immediately prior to this happening, the city was taking some serious criticism over the mishandling of and misrepresentations related to hydrant flusing (most notably the apparently false claim of an "emergency" and the stubborn refusal to offer any information concerning the nature thereof). Why is the entire community being silenced?

Why is city government closed today? According to the recorded telephone greeting it is "in observance of the Labor Day holiday." Of course, that can't be accurate. Because Labor Day isn't until Monday. Why are taxpayers paying for a day off on this non-holiday when all we ever hear about from city officials whenever we ask them to address a problem is how broke the city is? I see that the mayor has been active here on SCF today reporting potholes. So perhaps he can answer the question. Given his campaign promises of transparency and accountability, I'm sure an answer will be forthcoming promptly.

Multiple bikes positioned by a Lime Bike employee only a few feet from the end of a disabled access ramp (foreground) and directly across the accessible path. Please not only remove the bikes, but also provide the employee with further education regarding accessible path/disabled access regulations. Thank you.

Limebike right in the middle of the sidewalk, at a corner, and blocking path to disabled access ramps.

Another dangerous situation created on Autumn St. as a result of construction without a police detail or a reasonable traffic plan. Earlier, cars had been coming down Autumn from Winter, getting to the construction site that completely blocks Autumn, before having to turn around and head back to Winter. So the workers put up cones to block Autumn at the corner of Kenmore. I understand that they are trying to help and just want to get the work done. Unfortunately, now drivers are turning right on Kenmore at the cones and heading the WRONG WAY up to Main, with no warning to the drivers entering Kenmore from the very busy intersection at the other end. We have already had at least one accident in this area while traffic was rerouted, along with numerous close calls. We need a sensible and safe traffic plan for rerouted traffic, and some monitoring/enfrocement please before there is a serious accident.

This business is a daily repeat parking offender. Today they are parking on the sidewalk. Just saw a woman with two young kids and a dog all have to walk in the street to get around with significant vehicular traffic on the road.
