Burning debris Archived2610 9th Ave Huntsville, AL - HuntsvilleSomeone is slowly demolishing a burned house at this location. They are placing piles of debris on the sidewalk for collection. There was a pile of debris in the middle of the property that was being burned yesterday at 4:20 pm. In the high wind, the flames were reaching heights in excess of 12-15 feet. There may very well have been asbestos or other contaminants in the debris from a very old house. This could have easily spread to adjacent structures.

Vacant house with issues Archived2610 9th Avenue Huntsville, AL - HuntsvilleThis property was occupied by a hoarder who covered everything with junk. Thank you for cleaning it up! Someone tore the wraparound porch off to the dirt. I doubt a demo permit was issued. Someone just tacked up tarp like material to the remaining porch posts that are on brick piers. It looks horrible and is an embarrassment to the area. The house looks like it is shifting on its foundation. Please have someone inspect and write up everything possible. Thanks!
