2 yrs ago the tree in front of 36 Clifton Street was put on a list of trees to be assessed for removal. It was a joint effort between United Illuminating and Public Works. Nothing has been done and things are looking grim with this maple. The tree has mushrooms growing on it and there's a main Limb that hangs over power lines, where people Park their vehicles on the street, and the front porch of the house.
Please, public works, please remove this tree now..save many stake holders lots of money and headaches. Heavy snows and wind are coming! Thank you for all you do. I very much appreciate it;)

Walk along path from community garden, passed the butterfly garden, and just passed the ginko tree, one is greeted by several garbage bags and trash strewn about, mostly on the sides of the path.looks like house hold rubbish.

awoke to large pile of garbage dumped near our driveway on the side of the road in the weeds. illegal dumping at this site is a chronic issue. people with construction debris and lawn trimmings/ leaves frequently use this small corner of " woods" for dumping.

People have been dumping on Clifton Street between Lenox and Lexington. There's bags of law debris, broken children's furniture, and a pig's head stuffed in a plastic bag (which stinks to high heaven). My neighbors and I have been calling the city's public works department all week. Quentin, who answers the phones, said I need to call the police and get a case number, which I did. No action. I called back today. Quentin said my complaint had been logged, but that he would record it again. I asked to speak to his supervisor, who is Jeff Pescosolido. Jeff's phone is not working. So, no service, high taxes, deteriorating quality of life. Why would anyone want to live in a @#$% hole? Something needs to be done about the lack of community and standards of decency in this city. Hello Mayor's office?

5:30AM this morning a loud banging on the door from the NHPD asking me if my Honda is supposed to be parked around the corner with no seats, muffler, radiator, and a flat tire! They wrote up a report and we pleasant enough, polite enough. But when I asked them to dust for finger prints or to look in the known "monster garage" 2 doors up the street, they laughed it off. How do we as a community stop theaft.... I realize its not violent crime, but its MONEY and with property taxes, you would think there would be the inclination to make our city more livable for middle class family with children who are living everyother paycheck to everyother paycheck.
