I have an issue with a neighbors dogs. They're training attack pitbulls as watchdogs and their yard is not properly secured. They have an old (very old) wooden stockade fence that is in VERY poor repair, entire sections missing and many slats broken. Today one of the dogs tried to attack me, jumped at the fence and managed to squeeze about half his body through into my yard before I got one of the boards back into place to stop him. The residents are tenants, not the property owners. I talked to them today and got nowhere, they claim it's the owners problem, not theirs. I can't the owner(s), two numbers for co-owners, one in Florida and one in Norwalk both come up as not in service. This is a dangerous situation and I'm afraid to use my yard. Who can I contact? Is this a normal police matter or an animal control matter? I'd like someone to see the aggressive temperment of the dogs and the deplorable state of repair the fence is in and get a complaint lodged so that the owner gets notice. It's possible they don't know what's happening on their property
