This past Summer FPL replaced old, damaged and leaning electric poles in Country Club Estates in Venice, FL. This was much appreciated by the 509 homeowners in this 55 and older mobile home park. However, FPL failed to remove the old, damaged, leaning poles that pose a danger to all the elderly people that are living in these homes. During a storm or hurricane, these old, damaged poles could kill or at the very least flatten a mobile home! If the poles were not stable enough to support power lines, why would FPL be allowed to leave them standing while knowing there is a danger to the homeowners of the park. Is there an ordinance that requires them to be taken out by FPL to restore safety?
