this dangerous crosswalk needs the annual "State Law Yield to Peds" sign deployed in lieu of flashing walk signs.

Wet paint highlights the need for bollards on Lafayette. We are NOT Middle St. The original configuration of bollards on Lafayette worked perfectly. Not until Middle Street complaints did the "solution" to reduce bollards affect Lafayette. Please return bollard configuration numbers to Lafayette as designed year one of deployment. It slowed traffic. It made people stay within lines of demarcation. Drivers hate that. Pedestrians and the ever increasing bike traffic love it. Also, as a 28 year observer, the road noise reduction is an added bonus.

Once the South Street paving is complete we're going to need the street sweeper to go down the southbound bike lane on Lafayette from South St to Ledgewood Dr. The residual tar from the construction vehicles, and traffic that dragged through it, have created the need for a good sweeping. Fresh tar tirdlets abound.

Can we get one of these signs on the crosswalk at Greenleaf and Lafayette?

This cross walk is the poster child for the need of an upgraded walk signal. The same ones I see all over the city at less dangerous points. Push button with flashing walk signs on north abs south bound lanes.

Lafayette got TP'd? looks like contractor debris blew off the truck all the way from Andrew Javis to South Street.

    bollard down
  • 344 Lafayette Rd Portsmouth, NH 03801, USA - Lafayette Park Neighborhood Association
Bike lane bollards along Lafayette Rd from Andrew Jarvis to South street are greatly missed. Traffic routinely encroaches the bike lane headed north up the hill. Don't let the disdain for the bollards on middle dissuade the installation on Lafayette Rd where they are needed and appreciated.

not sure of the entire park put their recyclables out late or if it was a miss but there's a boat load of recycle bins out front. The businesses won't pull it back so it will sit until next Friday if not picked up today.

after spending a small fortune on my driveway repave I used to have perfect drainage of rainwater to the street. After the repave they left a small area that allows ponding and street sand build up. I know that when freezing occurs I'm going to have a nice pothole this spring. can we be proactive and get that smoothed out? I promise to not complain about how they used my newly hot topped driveway (see spots on lots guy. he knows) to backup their roller, weeks after it was done, and now I enjoy all sorts if imperfections at the end of in my new driveway.

First - A HUGE thank you for installing a crosswalk that connects Greenleaf to Lafayette. I understand this may be temporary for the Andrew Jarvis signal install? Please keep it. Try walking up Greenleaf on the sidewalk and you'll understand. Try it in a wheelchair and you'll REALLY understand.
Second - If you build it they will come. There needs to be some sort of signage either IN the cross walk "Yield to peds NH State Law glow in the dark thing" or better yet a manually activated flashing walk signal like there is by the Lafayette School. Traffic here is a mess at the intersection. People drive too fast over the blind hill (texting I might add). It's an accident waiting to happen. I don't want to have to be the first responder here at 322. I'm not trained.
