It was very heartening to see on our walk today that many of our neighbors have cleared the snow from their sidewalks. However, whoever plows the streets for the city have plowed in just about every corner between Cudworth Street, Park Street, Central Avenue, and Pleasant Street,

Once again we are requesting some enforcement of the speed limit on Riverside Avenue. Cars and trucks routinely speed down the street which is narrow with no shoulder. This speeding creates excessive noise, makes bicycling on Riverside Avenue a nightmare (we would choose to bicycle many places but the speeding cars and trucks are terrifying), and makes walking down Riverside a very unpleasant experience. Unfortunately we are on a dead end street off Riverside so must walk on it a bit before we can turn onto a side street to get away from the noise and speeding when we take ourselves or our dogs for a walk.

What looks like a wine fridge or wine cooler has been sitting on the grassy verge of the sidewalk for about a week now. This section of Central Ave is notorious for bags of garbage just being dumped there, as well as bottles of urine.

It had been sitting on the sidewalk (toppled over on one side) for a few days and my husband and I moved it onto the grass so it wouldn’t block the sidewalk. Lots of pedestrians on Central Ave.

How can we get some speed tables installed on Riverside Avenue? The speeding, especially between Spring St. and Clippership Drive, is out of control.

Cars, trucks, construction vehicles, post office trucks, MBTA buses, Budweiser tractor trailers, and so on routinely speed down Riverside Avenue.

Because there is no shoulder to the road, the speeding makes it extremely unpleasant to walk along Riverside Avenue with our dogs, who get very frightened by the noisy, speeding trucks rattling down the road. We live on a dead-end street so must walk along Riverside until we make an escape around the corner to a quieter street.

We have just about given up riding our bicycles because of the speeding situation on Riverside Avenue. When we do ride them, we ride on the sidewalk.

So how do we go about getting speed tables on Riverside Avenue to calm the speeding?

I do not see a category for this. We have not had street sweeping on Cudworth Street in a couple of weeks, and leaves are filling all the catch basins.

Very large tree is losing all its bark and has overhanging branches that impede walking on sidewalk.
