Is it possible for the DPW to put a recycling container at the train station? There are always a lot of bottles and cans and I would be happy to pick them up if there were somewhere for me to put them. I walk through there all the time because I live on Exchange street.I would be happy to help clean up but I don't want to carry that stuff around with me.

This is a follow-up to the report I made it just 10 minutes ago. I just left my house again and the trash barrel full of recycling that I had just picked up for my neighbors has blown over again. And I have an appointment, cannot go back and collect all the recyclables and put it in the bin again. Besides which I'm sure it will blow over again and it has no lid

As I left my house this morning at 8 Exchange St. I picked up a lot of garbage that had blown into my driveway. Every day there's tons of garbage in my driveway, much of it from Dunkin' Donuts. Every time I leave my house on foot, I am depressed and disgusted with the amount of garbage blowing around in downtown Gloucester. I walked over to Main Street and back up Washington and there's garbage everywhere. It is windy here, yes. We need to do something to keep the garbage from blowing all over. Also there are garbage bags out that have holes in them. We need a greater commitment from the trash management company to not let things get away from them while they are doing their pick up, also we need a better system -- we should have covered garbage cans, only! Including for recycling! When I came back home three hours after I left, my neighbor's garbage can full of recyclables, with no lid, had tipped over and literally almost a hundred water bottles were blowing up the street, many of them into my driveway. It is disgusting. I am ready to leave Gloucester because of how revolting the garbage situation is! It is my number one issue with living in this town.
