    Mack park trash clean up and at veteran memorial, tree pruning and trash along mason street stair case and hill side. Would love to partner with City for a volunteer trash clean up day or do it myself, but don't know how to handle hazardous waste (ie drug related items found). We have large wet items like clothes and blankets from people living on the hillside, general trash, bags of poop, and last year there was a bent spoon. Again, it's a mess and a good time of year to clean it up before the leaves are out. I would also like to again request that the large log at the top left of the stair be removed and shrubs along the staircase be significantly thinned out or shortened such that there are better sign lines so people can feel safe using the stairs to get to the park and not be alarmed when they come upon our regular addicts perched on the hill in the summer. This is not about moving the addicts away, but rather cleaning up the trash and mess and having more physically visibility along the stair case.

    This entrance to Mack park needs help. There is graffiti, a tree down and lots of trash and clothing. There are also drug related items, needle caps, alcohol wipes, spoons etc. on the top of the stairs to the far left, there are some large logs on the ground. The addicts consistently hang out here, but more recently there is an encampment with a sleeping bag clothing and drug related items. I hope that the trash and wet clothes can be picked up both here and along the flint street stairs hillside. I would also like to request that DPW prune back or clear the under brush on the hillside on both sides of the stairs and also remove the large logs where the encampment is located.
