  • 1924 Trinity Avenue Walnut Creek, California - Walnut Creek
    1. there is a green curb immediately "west" of a marked crosswalk which permits vehicles to park within 4' of the crosswalk. This inhibits visibility between traveling eastbound autos and crossing peds. There is a pre-school on- site and the church. The crossing is partially signalized.
    2. Does the City have a written or unspoken policy on when red curbs are required or recommended on the far side of the westbound approach of this crossing. Please provide the policy and its documentation. Most crosswalks do have a red curb in similar locations.

  • 508-512 San Ramon Valley Boulevard Danville, California - Danville
Location is Northbound San Ramon Vly Blvd, approaching Railroad Ave & Hartz Ave/Hartz Way. The northbound bicycle lane is placed to the right of the northbound right-turn-only lane. Which is a violation of the California MUTCD Section 9C.04 which states that "A through bicycle lane shall not be positioned to the rifht of a right turn only lane or to the left of a left turn only lane." This is a liability issue for the City as it it confusing to both bicyclists and motorists. I would be happy to meet with City staff to discuss at the site. Thank you. (P.S. - I attached a photo but am not sure it was actually attached...)
