Tap water has been running cloudy for three days and for the first day smelled heavily of chlorine. This is a by product of using Chloramine for a "chemical burn" to keep the water system in compliance. This is a dirty trick strategy and is not safe. Doing this keeps within compliance but it does not make the water safe to drink! No one was warned that the impending "chemical burn" was coming and that the water would not be safe to drink. or of the fact that drinking water that smells like chlorine is not safe and should not be used. Using chloramine creates toxic by products, including ammonia and should not be used. It also creates an issue of allowing more lead from the pipes to leach into the water supply!
