We are all trying to enjoy the end of summer. Music way too loud from the Lutz Beer Garden. Trying to to enjoy outdoor space at The Pier. Impossible. Reading over 70 db on sound meter. Recording video.

    The noise continues.

Last evening (July 7th) I noticed the noise was louder than normal earlier in the evening (see comment below). No way to enjoy personal space - forget listening to your own music. The noise is much worse for the residents of Harborside Place as the sound is not the muffled in any way as it carries to the upper floors of the building. It sounds much louder than at ground level. Audible inside after 10:30 with windows shut.

Give them an inch and they take a mile. “Activating” the waterfront does not need to include an outdoor bar that operates seven days a week. Jersey City, please enforce your codes designed for all residents.

    I repeat a post from June 24th:

“Notwithstanding the constant music of the the beer garden, I did get to sleep at 10:00 Friday night only to be awakened by loud music at 10:20. There were no customers left, however, the employees chose to blast a loud song for their own enjoyment. This certainly seems inconsistent with Mack Cali’s testimony at the recent planning board hearing (for a 1 year permit extension) that they had a new locking mechanism on the volume control so it could not be randomly controlled. Either they don’t have that in place as they said, or the employees can override the system.”

Separately, please see the attached video from June 29th at 11:30 pm.
